guys why all the doom & gloom? the're only 2 explanation why rvp doesn't extend his contract and released the statements that made all arsenal fans went berserk. and although hard believe to believe it, he did this is because he loves arsenal.

before that, keep in mind that u read all of this here first 

the 1st explanation why he doesn't extend his contract.... yet. yes, i said yet, because early next week he's going to make a u-turn and extend his contract. this is actually only a drama so that fans will know what kinds of un-ambitious board that arsenal has, and to give false hope to man city

2nd explanation is because rvp actually has a kind of rare disease (the kind that won't be detected by normal medical checkup football players do), that will actually destroy his football career, as early as within a year or two. that's why he doesn't extend his contract at arsenal, fearing that arsenal will suffer financial losses due to his supposed-to-be-new-sky-high salary. and the hope that some other clubs will buy him from arsenal for quite a sum, is the way he repays arsenal for all the faith given to him all these years.

that's the only 2 explanation on this current scenario now. believe it or not, it will be known soon..
ok, there's actually a 3rd explanation, while it's the most unlikely, but it is still plausible: rvp wants to quite arsenal to play abroad, most probably in spain. the reason is because of this: HOLLAND IS GOING TO INVADE UK. rvp doesn't want to be in UK at that time for obvious reasons: he's not going to help holland invade a place where his loved club arsenal are, and at the same time he doesn't want to be a betrayer to his country.
