how about the sachs vs the apm performax? i notice that even with a minor modification like the cat back pipe, the standard suspension feels inadequate already. but i also want to have ride comfort while improving handling.

QUOTE(mutt @ May 22 2012, 10:19 PM) how bout cat back exhaust syatem? I ve heard if decat the ecu will try to compensate the pressure n make the performance even worse. I have decat my savvy n i felt slightly improvement but facing jerking issue (i m sure it's not because of my amt cos i just overhauled my amt, new spark plug, new cable coil) so i suspected its becos of decat cos it happened just after 2 days i removed it the cat back system (as explained to me) is basically a straight flow system that starts (as it's name says) just behind the catalytic converter till the exhaust tip. so far i'm loving it with no adverse effects.will need to de-cat my car when i fit the header. hope it helps. QUOTE(TripleJ104 @ May 27 2012, 10:04 PM) Hi guys.. call them and ask lah, who knows, it may fit. imho, should fit lah. i think the items can work in isolation like me, i fitted the cat back section first and there is effect already. i haven't pasang the header yet as no time. i'm sure there will be a greater effect once the whole set is complete. generally, people fit the header first then the straight flow i think... not like me, fit the back first!Want to ask is R3 promo still have? Was thinking wanna buy r3 header like ahpaul/lowpro did. After discount it less than rm500 right? And also if i change only header section can it work/pair with standard mid section exhaust? Ive been looking2 header pass 2 weeks & found there's no header is nice like R3 header. But if u guys have any suggestion im willing to hear. Thanks... Added on May 27, 2012, 10:18 pmAlamak...just found the site. It stated 'parts only applicable to Gen2,Neo & Inspira'. |

QUOTE(TripleJ104 @ May 29 2012, 05:22 PM) Ok guys...here are my findings. it's worth it. now my stock suspension not good enough already.I went to the Proton edar Platinum showroom just now & found all the R3 part there are for display So i ask about the R3 4-2-1 Gen2 CPS header can fit or not, he not sure about it but he pass me to En Suhaimi. The good news from En Suhaimi the header can fit into our waja cps but with slight modification on standard mid section coz the pairing might not match. So have to cut the standard pipe, make a new pipe+flange, do some welding and fit it at the header flange. He also have recommended nearby shop to do all the works. Labour around rm100. About the r3 cps header can work on standard piping or not, he reply the last time he done at waja mme r3 the mid section & rear also standard piping..so HP can confirm gain The bad news is, the header only left 10 pcs if he not mistaken & im not sure wanna invest or not Added on May 29, 2012, 5:26 pm Wakakakakaka.....cannot tahan mutt..rambang mata. Somebody need to create better antidote wei... Emmmm...kang tak bercuti gak aku nanti. Hehehe...sure2. |

QUOTE(ahpaul82 @ May 29 2012, 07:46 PM) no need think lah, Yes, that part came with the cat back kit. So, the kit from R3 is from the catalytic converter backwards. But my header kit is long and will replace the part that you circled in red when i get it fitted.just grab lah ! anyone realize, our stock exhaust piping consider quite 'smooth' , not much obvious bending... anyone still got stock exhaust piping photo? yi? [attachmentid=2865309] this portion (highlighted in red circle) come together when you purchase catback system ar? because what i saw from the photo, only the catalyst converter is stock... Yup, the suspension feels like cannot cope with the new power |

QUOTE(ahpaul82 @ May 29 2012, 11:53 PM) i think like singchaii said, yup, the second picture part will replace the part circled in red in my picture.somewhere short circuit, now i guess back to normal already. no matter headlamp got on or not, the power window light is ON... okok, noted. next upgrade, handling. that's why i'm in dilemma whether want to get the R3 catback system or not ... yes, it comes with it. this is for those who do not have the header. so, it will be redundant when i fit the header (when i fnd the time) which has a different part for the section with 2 pipes instead of one.

QUOTE(TripleJ104 @ May 31 2012, 11:35 AM) I'm speeding whenever I being push or pressure. Other than that cruising 110-120kmj is the best.. hahahahaha, yes, 110kph - 120kph it is quiet. but my usual highway cruising speed is around 140kph -150kph and once in a while go up to 195kph but not beyond due to suspension inadequacies at those speeds. since my g2 cps is my weekend car, i tend to push it quite a bit whenever i get the chance.Added on May 31, 2012, 11:38 am Hehe..I'm a careful consumer.. |

QUOTE(TripleJ104 @ Jun 1 2012, 11:39 AM) Guys, Gen2 CPS M no more production? I browse Proton edar website gen2 model not shown. Im now persuade my sister in law take the gen2 cps m or persona elegance M. She wanna take the Myvi LB SE 1.5 M but i suggest take bigger car coz after married & having family space is crucial. Later in myvi wanna put stroller susah. i don't think they have elegance with manual. is there? anyway, the back seat of elegance is different from basic and basic seats are super low. no thigh support. anyway, my g2cps was one of the last batches and the last ones (i think) were made in the beginning of last year. afaik, no more g2cps manual already or even the g2 i think. |
