IOI has time until year end to VP. Anything earlier would be very likely.

If they VP in June, then they are 6 months ahead of schedule.
*
I thought VP for Block B is targeted to be mid year while Tower A is year end? Change already?

What's the meaning of "target" ?

As far as I can remember the developer has gotten approval for 3.5 year construction period for tower B and 4 year for tower A. As far as I can remember. I might me wrong.

Thought I read someone posted that he/she had asked IOI office and was told completion is June. I wouldnt mind if year end cos can save more $ for reno but that means pay more interest too:(

bugger, the brochure has the Skypod logo, not IOI mad.gif Now people might think this apt is called IOI Apt. Actually I think this is bad advertising for them. When people look at the lousy facade, they know immediately the developer is IOI tongue.gif

I still think they should put Skypod logo, at least add some colours to the building.

Sorry I suspect most of these are just building up database only. Not real offer.
*
On the contrary, mine is a genuine inquiry and I am also an owner. My friend is really keen and is asking for help to check on subsale units. Her preferance is studio (first and foremost) as her budget is quite tight....maybe around 500k..give or take can go slightly higher...I don't even know if that is even possible but thought I help her to ask anyway. Maybe the lower units one possible.

Any interested owners can PM me.I will pass on that message and she will see if she can stretch her budget.

I am NOT interested to build up any database...wasting time!

if 500k, i would advise she just concentrate on studio.
2 bedroom would be tough.
*
Yeah, I would think so too due to budget constraint. I'm asking cos she also has a baby and the 2-bedroom might be better in the long run. But again, she might reconsider when she knows what price range those 2-bedrooms are selling and making comparison with the studio.

I saw one advertisement studio letting go at 410k, but i think still not a good investment lah. Rental the last i heard even furnished for studio is merely rm900~1000, somemore not easy to find tenants because too many vacant units available. So surprised Skypod now become Skypiak, maybe the fengshui no good as said by many people, surrounded by negro college and small factories. Also the exterior look like medium cost apartments, i heard the interior also lousy. The kitchen basin is cheap Aluminium basin. I read also about the corridors flooding when it rains heavily.
*
It seems to me that many Skypod investors have no holding power and therefore rent out at cheap rates due to desperation.

I just saw another advertisement Skypod studio letting go at 400k (i think still can nego). Yeah, many investors are having a tough time now esp when the market is so cold. I think it's the supply vs demand thinge lah, now whenever i see people selling condos esp outside supermarkets, with the little condo building models on the table lah, handing out brochures lah, i will just "siam"...very damn jelak already. Last time every tom dick & harry also grab one just to show they can be condo owners, now jiatlat already! Easy to buy, hard to maintain the loan and the monthly maintenance fees etc etc
*
Studio rate at 400k, I don't think there is any profit at all tongue.gif

Do you think Malaysian today got higher expenses power to rent a condo at high price? With the economy uncertain and a lot of layoff here and there, I think Malaysian is looking to cut expenses rather than pay higher rental... Look for PH la if wanna get higher rental, locals a bit difficult.

A big blow to the investors especially those who bought several units. Too rich....

Wow, this is not a simple pipe leaking issues, by looking at the cracks on the soffit slab, clearly show structural cracks that could lead to structure failure in the long run. Better get a professional to look into it and attach the finding to the management if they still doesn't concern that much about it.

By the way what is the floor above it? swimming pool ?
*
From what I heard, the leaking happens because of the water flow from IOI Business Park during heavy rain, apparently water from there is channelled out thru Skypod basements since years back. Last time no Skypod up yet so no issue, now the condo is built so it has affected the property due to faulty pumps or insufficient pump quantity/size (something along that line) so whenever it rains, the basement at Skypod will get ponding. But I hear this problem is resolved.

IOI as usual will tai chi the problem to JMB to solve. Since when has IOI ever taken responsibility for their fault? Also, IOI promise heaven and earth with their brochures and show rooms but later will tell you it is just artists' impressions. mad.gif

My inside source tells me that IOI didn't maintain IOI Business Park well for years (IOI Business Park-Skypod Square-Skypod Residence are now considered one parcel) but now IOI got the cheek to even complain about leakages and maintenance issue to the new management office who just took over end of 2016.

Lessons learned - Never never buy property from IOI. Ask the owners at Skypod and Sutramas.

Yes. Those in know.
Will know IOI reputation, rouge one.
Ask around, IOI BOULEVARD maintennace as well. Worry about SKYZ.
*
Shoddy workmanship and poor quality materials from IOI to cut cost. I just heard from the Management Office who discovered during repair works that IOI didn't even use casing when laying underground cables for the card access system. They just buried the cable. The system had spoilt several times during heavy rain and Management Office had to dig out the cables again and re-do the whole cabling.
