Surprisingly, u had enormous amount of phone bills, utilities and groceries user which amount to over RM 1,000.
I think u came from big family, dude.

BTW, dining at restaurants is not considered as commitment. It is regarded as spending and it is avoidable. whistling.gif
*
Dude, they are other expenses not in the 5% button 1% which is essential in life.

Insurance, normal family outings, car service and maintenance, bla bla bla. Even dining or outing once in awhile with partner and family is understandable.

Not to mention, some of us might help to pay for utility for parents, sibling, spouse and so on.

Perhaps u never did those, not even occasion outing, staying in ur cave. Or u r foreveralone or a introvert, caring not on other ppl in ur life.

No wonder u cannot grasp the concept of using cc to save money. Go on. Pls continue using cash. Peace.

Actually how do you guys tell whether a particular transaction gets 5% or 1% rebate? From the statement its just a total rebate value.
*
u can also track ur transactions in excel files, put in what transaction u think will get 5% and 1% respectively.
if there's discrepancies from the total rebate u get, try to move around the transactions that u suspect is wrong.

just got my card yesterday. now waiting for the PIN number..

When I signed up for OCBC Titanium, the salesman told me the GSC buy 1 free 1 is a 'feature' of the CC and not a promotion. Now I realised its just a promo.. WTH?
*
some agent will be like this, just to get sales...

best to do own research first.

but in any case, ocbc titanium is really a good card...

To earn the 3rd month (Sept 2012) Bonus 5% Rebate, you MUST have pay phone bills in July and August as well.

Jul : You can get 5% (OCBC Titanium) + 5% (Promo)
Aug : You can get 5% (OCBC Titanium) + 5% (Promo)
Sep : You can get 5% (OCBC Titanium) + 5% (Promo) + 5% (Bonus)

To maximise the bonus received, you should pay Phone Bills
- in Jul-2012 worth RM400
- in Aug-2012 worth RM400
- in Sep-2012 worth RM800

Phone Bills : TM, MAXIS, DIGI, CELCOM (UniFi bill not allowed)

user posted image

** Those Phone Bills already on Auto-Debit, you can actually pay the amount in advance in order not to be Auto-Pay **
*
i think this is a bit wrong, since the rebate for bonus still capped at rm20

i'm not too sure here, there 2 additional rebate in month 3...
in t&c, just say capped at rm20..
so 5% capped at rm20 another 5% capped at rm20
or both combine capped at rm20? sweat.gif

Sept max rebate is RM40.
Thus, max bill amount will be still RM400,  equal to 5% + 5% rebate.
*
yeap...looks like it...

excerpt from FAQ:

Q: What is the maximum rebate that I can earn?
A: The rebate payable is subject to the following limit:
i. 5% monthly rebate is subject to RM20 per month per customer,
ii. 5% bonus rebate is subject to RM20 per customer.
iii. 5% OCBC Titanium rebate is subject to RM50 per month (or such amount
specified under the product features or Terms and Conditions),

just to add, so they wun be alot of questions floating:

Rebates will be credited as a single payment into customers’ account (OCBC Credit
Card, Current or Savings account) by 30 November 2012.

excerpt of t&c

QUOTE
There are 2 types of rebates offered in this Campaign:
a) a 5% (five percent) rebate to Eligible Customers who have made payments for any one or more of the Selected Bills
within the Campaign Period; the 5% is computed on the amount actually paid for the Selected Bills and is subject to the
maximum rebate amount of RM20 per Eligible Customer per calendar month; and
b) a 5% (five percent) additional bonus rebate for the third month’s payments only, to Eligible Customers who have made
payments for any one or more of the Selected Bills for three consecutive months within the Campaign Period; the 5% is

the maximum rebate amount of RM20 per Eligible Customer.

Can anyone elaborate a little on the "pay bill online and get 10% rebate" promotion? If I only have Titanium card with OCBC (without savings account), the bils that i pay thru OCBC's online portal will be charged to my card, am i right?  hmm.gif
*
yeap, u can actually select (if u have cc and saving) from which account u wanted to pay the bill from...

So for those on auto billing, we need to manually Log in ocbc online and pay 400 in advance first ?
*
i think what ronnie said is actually...pay ur bill amount, before ur bill statement date....so when they auto debit from ur cc, the bill amount payable is 0 or maybe a few ringgit..

however, u could advance pay up to rm400, to fully utilize the rebate if you want too...
