Hi, need to ask opinion, I just went back today from out station, and recognize my car front bumper got damage. I was suspect the construction car cause the damage when I am not around.. The color of the scratch is match with the construction car as my dad got took the picture of that car... Shall I speak to the contractor about the damage, and if they not accept what shall I do?
note: I hv been staying the street more than 20 years and there is no incident happen till one of the house doing massive renovation and I suspect they cause this incident...
Sorry for bad English ...

I would take pictures the said contractor car that you said color matches the paint imprinted on your front bumper. Then only I approach him.
Since he didn't say anything abt this incident, it is most likely he doesn't want to take responsibility. But nvm just talk to him nicely, remember no need to get agitated over these contractor person. If he is a man and takes responsibility, they just ask him help you repair loh.
If he acts very hostile, stop talking to him altogether and bring your evidence (the pictures) and report to police. If you approach him first without taking pics he might just conveniently start using another vehicle so you have nothing against him. Remember take the pic of license plate as well!!

I don't think you will find justice in this situation. Because there were no witnesses. What are you going to tell the police? That the colour of the scratch is the same colour as the contractor's vehicle? Even more serious cases like break-ins caught on camera don't get their attention, they'll just say that the image is not clear.
And if you approach the contractor and he feigns ignorance there's really nothing you can do. The last thing you want is for him to scratch or damage your car further. Just put it down as bad luck..

What comes arond goes around. Approach him try your luck. It is all up to him, God will punish him one day if he does not pay whichever way. Anyhow he will not have feel good feelings. By approaching him you have done what you should do giving yourself a chance and him a chance to admit and life goes on otherwise this thing keep bothering your mind and make your life more miserable than what you have already lost financially repairing your car.
Sleep well brother after approachng him whatever the outcome.

Let me relate my similar problem. Someone accused me of knocking into his car the day before. He got all the patient waiting for me to collect my car. I was very sure I knock into noone and my car had no dent or scraches or any foreign paint. Yet he was so sure it was me!!! Not to argue with this unreasonable guy I asked him how much he wanted and he said rm50. I just gave him and left. Why? I didnt want to argue with people like that and I didnt want to see any dent or damage he might do on my car next day. The world is full of funny people simply picking up somebody.

This afternoon I went to the renovation hse and seems the main con contact person is not around as he will b back from overseas next mon.
I saw their construction board and does not indicate the dbkl approval number and contact number of respective agency. Would this be an plus point for me? As there is no license approved yet and there is big forklift car can enter to our living street...
Btw, I also got text the contact person abt this situation n will follow up on Monday...

No approval will make the owner (who is your neighbour) in trouble too. Not only the contractor. So, you might want to think twice.

Maybe there are somebody.
Who know maybe the burgers stall owner.
Is the renovation major? Usually most better renovation don't need to put up the board just the approval form will do.

Ok, my case goes like this. The person who acuse me, went to the police station, police told him, if no witness there will be hardly a case. Thus he gave up.
