First page? Hmmm ... where are all my stalkers? >.<

Switching to Speedmod for now as Siyah seems to have some battery drain issues since 3.2. Anyone experienced it?

I experience a lot battery drain on siyah 3.1 beta (most of the betas, same result).. ~20-30% drain overnight (wifi+data+sync on)

At first, I thought the wifi kernel wakelock causing it, but now, on siyah 3.2 (b6, b8 & rc1), I have very good battery life with same setup.. ~6-9% drain only overnight (wifi+data+sync on)

but of course I need to test even further, which I can't at the moment as I'm going holiday starting tomorrow, so cannot play flashing these few days.. (play reliability testing instead).. as this phone will be my main camera..  blush.gif  blush.gif

The drain I'm talking about is mostly when the screen is on :/

Screen off drain is tolerable.

for those using siyah...if we install exTweaks, do we still need to install voltage control to set the Mhz?
*
Yes. smile.gif

ExTweaks doesn't have a mechanism to apply custom voltages for each frequency.

Well xda is nothing but drama these days. Guess different people from different countries with different cultures are bound to have missed communications now and again.
*
Lots of drama in Siyah thread also. Got overzealous members who determine what can and cannot be in the dev thread. Every 3 posts comes a screaming person to post in the general thread. :/

Usually APN related. You can refer to Maxis's website for the APN if you're having problems surfing.

Download Galaxy S2 I9100G ICS:
http://www.littledoremi.com/galaxy-sii-i91...ch-4-03-is-out/

Indian firmware though, so need to set APN manually. Not tested as I don't have a I9100G.

FFFUUUU downloading now.. biggrin.gif

Take note that it's the official Indian firmware hence APN settings will need to be manually configured. Backup before flashing as always.

If you don't have numbers, it means you didn't flash the ICS bootloader.

QUOTE(Red Tsubasa @ May 30 2012, 10:24 PM)
where to download ics bootloader ya?
*
When you flash the whole ICS firmware, it'll update the bootloader as well.

QUOTE(jutamind @ May 30 2012, 10:28 PM)
poor battery life after updating to 4.0.3?
*
Install BetterBatteryStats and dump the log here. I'll take a look at what's draining your phone. One note is that the battery would need time to self-calibrate itself. Try to monitor the battery life after a few cycles.

QUOTE(antt00 @ May 30 2012, 10:35 PM)
I m on ICS bootloader but still shown unknown. AFAIK all AOSP/AOKP rom is unknown, dunno about samsung base rom.
*
Mine is known. AOSP/AOKP being unknown isn't that unusual though.

QUOTE(Red Tsubasa @ May 30 2012, 10:37 PM)
how to check whether i using ics bootloader or gb bootloader?
*
Umm, the serial number (if you're on a Samsung ROM will have numbers). If you're on GB bootloader, it'll just be zeroes or unknown.

I flash to whole ics firmware ..i guess my phone installed ics bootloader
*
Yup.

QUOTE(nehalem176 @ May 30 2012, 10:44 PM)
IMHO, if flash SOME custom ICS rom, it will not install the ICS bootloader since the GB bootloader still usable in that particular rom
*
If flash from GB to an ICS custom ROM using CWM, then you'll still be using GB bootloader.

QUOTE(firemoon82 @ May 30 2012, 10:46 PM)
eh? why mine have ..it look like this 00191cd60e**** (*=cencored) currently using costum rom ..
*
You must've flashed to stock ICS before flashing the custom ROM?

QUOTE(cho @ May 30 2012, 10:47 PM)
i never bother about serial number . always check IMEI no.

but looking at Serial Number = all 0's makes me wondering, is it should be like that

I'm running GT-i9100G  ICS stock ROM which we got today, flash it through ODIN

GB bootloader cannot boot in ICS right? with exception of custom/modified GB bootloader

before use DZKL3 , then indian ICS, then malaysia ICS

IMEI is ok and matched with IMEI on the box.
*
Not sure about I9100G. Might be different. Maybe All 0's is the correct number for I9100G?

I flash mine via CWM .... just wanna know ..... whats the different if im still with GB bootloader and ICS bootloader? got any effect?
*
GB Bootloader can enable the jig usage. ICS can't use jigs.

QUOTE(cho @ May 30 2012, 10:53 PM)
It should be modified GB bootloader.

with stock GB bootloader, i think can not.

Because, i try flash stock ICS from stock GB through mobile odin , end up getting to recovery only
*
Not sure what you mean. Though I think Mobile Odin doesn't flash bootloaders for safety purposes.
