Had a 1hour read at Kinokuniya the other day. His style of writing is great. Though, I'm only gonna get the boxset after the final book has released. Though the RM240++ boxset looks so tempting to buy! Comes with a poster-map inside too.. This post has been edited by lovehatesmisery: Apr 4 2013, 06:53 PM

It is generally best to get them after the series has finished if you're a collector.

Cool looking boxset (big too) with the family insignias printed on the box. 6 books total, with two split into Part 1 & 2.

Funnily enough, Harper Voyager also has a Dance in Dragons in 1 book as an 'option'. This alternative wasn't available for UK edition readers when book 3 was released. In my collection, I have book 3 in 2 parts and I have book 5 in one part. I prefer the Voyager version over the Random House ones because fonts are bigger and the paper is of a slightly better quality. It annoyed me greatly when Random House released their international paperback before Voyager. I had to buy the RH version, read it, 'gift' it to a friend then buy the Voyager version so my books match on my shelf This post has been edited by highbury1913: Apr 4 2013, 10:47 PM

Was so tempted to get it, but I've finally made it a point to wait til' the story comes full circle.

That will save you some money and still allow you to read the books.

Just found this amazing thread for superb song of fire and ice series! Love this series to bits, hands down the best i've ever read and George RR Martin should be knighted! Started reading this series just a year ago but stopped at book 4 to sync it with the tv series, but the book is still 1000x better than the telly series I love the way mr martin tells the story with very specific details till i can imagine out each scene (thanks to telly series i can put faces to each character), and when he kills off characters, my favorite, as not many authors kills off their book characters easily, thus putting a good spin to this series!
