Street Fighter V (ストリートファイターV Sutorīto Faitā Faivu?) is a fighting video game published by Capcom, who co-developed the game with Dimps. It is the fifth main numbered entry in the Street Fighter series. The game was released in February 2016 for Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 4,[2] with a later release on Linux, and will feature cross-platform play between the Windows and PlayStation 4 versions.

Street Fighter V carries on the side-scrolling fighting gameplay of its predecessors, in which two fighters use a variety of attacks and special abilities to knock out their opponent. The game features the EX gauge introduced in Street Fighter III, which builds as the player lands attacks and can be used to either power up special moves or perform super combos known as Critical Arts, although the Focus Attacks from the previous game have been removed. New to this game is the "V-Gauge", which builds as the player receives attacks and adds three new techniques: V-Skills, V-Reversals, and V-Triggers. V-Skills are special attacks unique to each fighter; for example, Ryu can parry an attack while M. Bison can reflect projectiles, some of which build V-Gauge when successfully performed. V-Reversals allow players to use a section of the V-Gauge to perform a counter move whilst being attacked. Finally, V-Triggers use the entire V-Gauge to allow the player to perform a unique ability, such as a temporary damage boost for Ryu's energy balls or added hits to Chun-Li's attacks. Additionally, the Stun Meter, which has been present since Street Fighter III, is made visible under the health bars in this game. The Stun Meter increases when receiving consecutive attacks and will cause the player to become stunned if filled; thus, it encourages players to play offensively when the opponent's Meter is close to full. The game also features interactive arenas, showcasing special animations when a player is defeated in a certain part of the arena.

i will play every Tuesday night as is D3 Maintenance time whole night, hence u will see a lot of old leg surface Tuesday night. if 1 2 find leg, be sure is Tuesday~~~~~~~

Hi Guys,

I went looking for Super Street Fighter 4 AE in the retail stores around Klang Valley but all had no stock. Is buying the Steam version the same as the retail one ? I saw in Steam they just mentioned as Street Fighter 4 and not Super Street Fighter 4 AE thus was a bit worried.

SSFIVAE not available on Steam in our region.
Last time I had to gift my friend the game when I was in the UK.

You may get from gamersgate as well which i did when pre-order last time. but i think retail is much cheaper at rm100 or rm120 from GS.

So far haven't had any luck finding any shop who have it in stock. Tried even the lowyat sellers who have it on their sale page but when called them they said the same. Anyone have any ideas? Prefer to get a retail version rather than to download.

Don't think you have much of a choice at this point.

My best option at the moment is to buy it from Amazon. They are currently selling it for USD20.00 which looks like a good deal.

Daigo's still Daigo, he've not exactly gotten better, just that everyone have gotten used to him and his tactics. So many of his stuffs online, that I don't think any real serious top players put him as a serious competition.
Same thing like Poongko's Seth, after he blew up on that one single tournament with Seth, he never really gotten that far again in most tourneys I see. People gotten used to his Seth and those top Jap players simply adapt to his playstyle.

LoL Xian jumping when Daigo's with an U1 up is really wtf.
I would say he won because Daigo have very little high level Gen play on his belt. I wouldn't take anything from Xian's victory though, I know myself winning with Gen is bittersweet. ><

Xian knows how to jump. You can't srk someone who's directly on top of you and Daigo hasn't been anti-airing very much either.

I caught only at the start of 5/0 point. >< Looks like I missed a lot.

I don't seem to get much luck playing with random online players.
Always seem to get real pros.
Last night, i try endless, defeating 2K PP vega also seems to be so so so hard T.T ( Actually i didn't win a single fights T.T )
I suspect it's the playing time.

That's y i give up on ranked matches. I seriously don't think i could even get over 1-2K PP.

Hmmm, not that you've bad chars, think of it this way, for ranked, they take more risks, so games are faster. Things that work in endless may not necessarily work on ranked. That's as true as it gets.

Yes , there maybe different gameplays in ranked and endless but not necessary be fast. Some ppl rather play defensive all the way coz they scare they might lose points
( like what happen to me in sf4 vanilla .... zzzzzz )

LoL, I hate those types too, you mainly see more of these down in the 1500 to 2k BP area. Above them, you'll get a lot more focus... they're like..

0~1k = Randoms, like really random stuffs. Play offensive all the way through and you can easily make it out of this pool.

1k to 1.5k = Use some simpler tactics, expect wakeup SRK, nothing your standard stand there do nothing won't help on this pool range.

1.5k to 2k = Block strings are useful. You start to see a lot less Ryus and a lot more Kens, Adons etc.

Above 2k you'll see a lot more focus absorb and attacks. Patience, and the ability to actually punish comes very important here.

I'm still stuck at 1.5k to 2k level, there are some that deliberately drop their BP so they can play lower levelled players to raise up their PPs. They normally hang around 1k levels. That's why it's a bit of a mix up in that range.

Through my experience, it's very easy to shit out a win with Thawk.
TKC's thawk for example... Really that day, started with mashing grab, then after it stopped working started mashing dive/uppercut randomly.

Nah, i don't really agree. You still need a bit skill to win this way.
If you have mind games and instant reaction, it's more possible.

For casual players ( if they play like that ), you can play 100% defensive and they can't really win.

Sigh, sad to say. I've also gotten a lot of this kind of matches before i concluded it

Yeah I know. But I just expected much more from a 4k PP player? You know. His Gen also 10k+ BP. Only combo is Oga > Gekiro. :|

(><") You've easier time with gief than THawk definitely. Dives are not safe, uppercut's angle is pretty retarded, condor spire loses to half what characters can pull out.
In other words, he can be easily shut down'ed if you know how to.

No actually, Thawk is a pretty bad matchup for Makoto.
If I were using Ryu then I can play the zoning game fine. But if I use Makoto then there's pretty much no safe way to get in unless you make a mistake.
All my hayates are punishable by spd on block. If I ever knock you down, I have to guess whether you're going to spd, uppercut or do nothing on wake up. I can't even do the safe thing I always do against gief, which is jump back HP because ex uppercut gets that. And if you're using U2, it's even worse.
Dive is unsafe on block, but the most I can do is a hayate after it. Sometimes I have the balls to dash up and karakusa but if I mess that up you can be sure the thawk player will be mashing an spd, uppercut or ultra (Dat ultra damage).

With that said, I really don't have much hawk experience. Not many people use him. But in general, those who do, love to mash, at least in my experience. Maybe someone wanna go endless with me with their hawk? Always seems that when I play no one's online. lol

Makoto? Yes it's hard. (><")

1. Dives are not safe, think your forward mk -> hk can hit in range.
2. That leg chop move in air? EX beats up whatever version of condor tomahawk.
3. Poke once in a while with cr HP.

4. Poke strings only work if it's a true block string. Non true block strings will just earn you a typhoon.

Oh, backdash on condor spire. Doesn't matter what version he throws.
The magic range for you is the furthest tip of your cr HP.
He's always extremely vulnerable to crossovers as well. Tomahawk is 45 degree up forward.

1. Lol completely forgot about that move. Doesn't knockdown though but does more damage than hayate. Though I'd prefer the ex hayate for knockdown. Don't know have to experiment. Though with my internet I can only play with a few LYN peeps now.
2. What's condor tomahawk? If it's the uppercut then ex tsurugi isn't exactly the tool for the job, you'd pretty much have to uppercut into it for it to work lol. It has long startup.
Makoto has like one incredibly hard to space crossup with her jMK

Anyway like my major problem is hawk has tons of nasty shenanigans, like condor dive can whiff right in front of me... Man really wanna kick some balls, condor dive whiff > u1
And condor spire, you never know when it's going to hit or not... Though I guess I shouldn't be falling for round start condor spire whiff > spd like all the time.
And sometimes, condor dive crosses up lol ridiculous.

1. Think he's gonna be down if you get him mid air with that.
2. Tomahawk apparently. Not sure on ex tsurugi, but I've been hit out of it cleanly for quite a lot of times.

Backdash when you see him jump?
Condor spire -> you backdash/vertical jump. Mix these two up.

It doesn't combo in midair and the fmk doesn't cause knockdown even in air.
If I jump I think he got time to react with uppercut.

Semi, I'm ok with anything as long as I'm on, (which is rare these days). Two moves to abuse, use HK as a mid range poke, MK as buffer. The rest's the same as Zangief actually, only major difference is shorter grab range and less safe jump in options. Kinda like Gief with WWAYYYYYYYYYYyyyyYyyYy less options to get close.

Eg. Gen's Oga. I've seen some people doing charges, then walk front a bit and Oga still come out. I've 0 idea on how that works.

Oh, it's not that hard. Just charge down back then walk front a bit then do Oga. Because SF4 is very lenient for charge moves, the time between breaking charge and execution is quite big. Not sure how else to explain.
Like for PC I will be holding 1, then 6 to move front then immediately 9K. It's not like 3s where you need to charge buffer @@

I think you can buffer charged moves using dash. Charge> Dash > Charged Move.

Xian knows a shit load of setups. His Gen is on a different level. xD

Don't do it if they have a charge though. Ex condor spire breaks it clean.

What you said is correct as my gen only know one move as I don't know combo, Option select, AA, focus attack and etc. I play the games base on feeling and reaction only. As for T .hawk, I don't use it. Just that day I play random and choose it accidentally.

How'd you get so high using only that? Do that many people really not know how to block oga? lol

As a Gen player first hand, I can tell you that, yes, surprisingly, for some odd reasons unbeknownst to me, they do not know how to do it.

Just for your information, my main is not GEN. I play Gen for fun only after seeing Phyurix aka the Gen Master from Malaysia performing all crazy combo. But no dough I still manage to kill many player with Gen due to my air control and air attack is accurate. I mean my timing is very good, when to grab and when to kick. If you really want to know how I get more then 4000pp then play with me again when u see me online. I will show you my El Fuerte moonwalk skill. You will definitely hate me like hell after that. Do you agree Maxwei?
