Not true. Race has nothing to do with it.

In fact, I was taught by a Malay Street Fighter player who did win a few tourneys in Insert Coin.

Previously, I mainly used the keyboard.

I subsequently use the arcade stick and never switch back.

Worth it to give all options a try to determine which is most suitable for your playstyle.

Qanba 4 from China. Fully Sanwa.

Generally, you just have to focus on whether the parts are from Japan and what parts they are. (ie. Sanwa or Seimitsu). The later being rare but solid.

Easiest way to describe Sanwa is like Cherry MX Red Switch for Mechanical Keyboard while Seimitsu would be sort of similar with Cherry MX Brown / Blue Switch for Mechanical Keyboard.

There are also Korean and American type of parts but they are generally not recommended.

Alternatively, you could play with keyboard or controller.

Suggest either go with controller/gamepad or arcade stick so at least you can join Insert Coin gatherings, if any. They generally do not have keyboards over there.

You can find arcade sticks from many console shops.

Also, you can get some people to build one custom arcade stick as the parts are quite easy to obtain.

Unfortunately, I don't know where you can get plexi.

Button should be the same as Madcatz version because both should be Sanwa.
