Ok, at first you said:
QUOTE(zheilwane @ Mar 25 2016, 10:42 PM) Note : DO NOT BUY UF membrane filter with 0.01 micron, definite will reduce water pressure and many other problems. Ask us if u wanna know more QUOTE(zheilwane @ Apr 4 2016, 09:35 PM) Actually we discussed this several times, i also posted more than 10 times around the forums. If you online google Pros and cons UF 0.01 micron and u will get the answers. If u ask sellers seling UF membrane, they will say is good. If u ask seller like me selling sand, i will tell u is no good. Best and neutral answer, get it from google. It's kinda stupid, don't you think so? ☺May b i should start selling what customers wan rather what is good for them |

QUOTE(ccheng0085 @ Apr 5 2016, 04:22 PM) really got ppl just come in and ask what is better instead of reading all the previous comments... lol.... Well, if you read through all the 15 pages, post #282 is the only post that zheilwane mentioned about UF low pressure issue and "other problems". That's why I asked for more details.really doubt that kind of ppl will really follow what other said...blindly.. lol then sampai kedai, kedai ppl recommend something else, might change their minds also... just curious, no hard feelings... btw, I'm using 3m outdoor filters because lazy back wash. If he is lazy to answer, then don't put something like "ask us if you want to know more". This is the purpose of a forum, for us to learn and discuss things. If we can google everything then what's the point of having a forum? Just curious what's gone through your mind, no hard feeling This post has been edited by westley0214: Apr 5 2016, 05:12 PM |

QUOTE(MJ29 @ May 2 2016, 02:44 PM) Have anyone heard Filken outdoor water filters....is this brand good n easy to maintain....price RM 2400 with indoor alkaline water filter free... I saw it at the home fair here two weeks ago too. Outside filter is using UF membrane right? You need to be very careful about the pressure drop after the membrane filter. If your house water pressure is not strong enough, better get the traditional sand filter.Appreciate comment from sifu's here..thanks Btw, the price can be easily negotiable to RM 2000 if you really want it (my friend who sells another brand told me). |

QUOTE(MJ29 @ May 2 2016, 03:50 PM) Thanks for the feedback....yup my house water pressure not strong ....so will be a problem, then... I saw it at Home Fair in Kuantan here.btw at which home fair you saw them....I met them at modern living fair at seremban (last day today)....was told by sales guy...after the fair price will not be the same....and they are from Kulai, Johor...and they do not have a sales off in around here .... package offered was rm 2400 with free indoor alkaline water filter.... Do not trust them blindly. I checked their FB page, the so called "promo price" actually remained since one year ago. You don't have to rush to make decision. RM 2400 is not cheap. Do more research first. The problems if you are getting from them which I could foresee are: 1. Very hard to get them to service your filter since they don't have the service centre at your place (of course they will say they cooperate with bla bla bla companies, but those companies normally won't take you seriously if you don't get from them). 2. As you mentioned, your house water pressure is not strong, so if you install a membrane filter, you will have more problems eg. water cannot go into water tank, even lower water pressure etc. 3. Membrane filter maintenance cost is very expensive. RM 700 just to replace the membrane. Think carefully and do not be pushed by them to make rushed decision. For my case, I ended up getting my outdoor sand filters + indoor mineral water machine from another water filter supplier which has office based in here. QUOTE(MJ29 @ May 2 2016, 04:22 PM) is it easy to maintain by ourselves ...the weekly/monthly maintenances Maintenance for sand filter is easy. Just do backwash once every 3 days. Change the media every 4 years. Rm400and how often we need to get the service guys to do the servicing...i.e..change filter others... For the indoor filter, need to wash the ceramic filter once per month. Other cartridges, some need replacement every 14 months, some every 24 months. Price around rm 90 - 100 per cartridge. For mine, they will call me automatically when it's time for replacement since they have our records. |
