im still new in this , usually how much ( the price ) ? what brand is good ?

I saw it at the home fair here two weeks ago too. Outside filter is using UF membrane right? You need to be very careful about the pressure drop after the membrane filter. If your house water pressure is not strong enough, better get the traditional sand filter.

Btw, the price can be easily negotiable to RM 2000 if you really want it (my friend who sells another brand told me).

Do not trust them blindly. I checked their FB page, the so called "promo price" actually remained since one year ago. You don't have to rush to make decision. RM 2400 is not cheap.

Do more research first. The problems if you are getting from them which I could foresee are:

1. Very hard to get them to service your filter since they don't have the service centre at your place (of course they will say they cooperate with bla bla bla companies, but those companies normally won't take you seriously if you don't get from them).

2. As you mentioned, your house water pressure is not strong, so if you install a membrane filter, you will have more problems eg. water cannot go into water tank, even lower water pressure etc.

3. Membrane filter maintenance cost is very expensive. RM 700 just to replace the membrane.

Think carefully and do not be pushed by them to make rushed decision.

Maintenance for sand filter is easy. Just do backwash once every 3 days. Change the media every 4 years. Rm400

For the indoor filter, need to wash the ceramic filter once per month. Other cartridges, some need replacement every 14 months, some every 24 months. Price around rm 90 - 100 per cartridge.

For mine, they will call me automatically when it's time for replacement since they have our records.
