hi all,

can anybody share your experience and the cost to install stone tiles at the 2 pillars and a small wall? the total area is about 72 sqft....

Aiyah..its rubble wall....I have the cost somewhere in my survey file at home..let me go home and look for it then I'll let you know..I'm thinking of using pebble stones or otherwise rubble wall

yo, but this is stone tile oh... make from natural stone... quite heavy, ppl charge me RM1000 for the installation without the materials... i feel is expensive, thats why need to ask you all...

what im going to do is just 2 pillar, 20" width and 6ft height only, plus a 2 x 3 ft small wall... total 72 sqft...

Just installation RM1000 is a bit expansive, but come to think of it, people purposely mobilize a few people to your house and earn couple of hundreds ringgit. The amount is so small, thus i think that is the price.

No I dont mean rubber. I mean Rubble. These days they either cut stones slab to tile it or make tiles to make them look like rubble. no rubber

I mean the one T&T showed. It has the rubble look, but instead of using the entire block of stone, it is cut into slabs to tile

that is palimantan stone. Installation can be very expensive.

I may be using the wrong term, but tile shop ppl say rubble , so I say rubble lor...contractor say rubble tile...haha...dont care what term...as long as I see it physically what I want is what they use can d biggrin.gif

I have this stone - "yellow quartz stone " for my planter box, small quantities too, 2' ×15' installed by my tiler lum sum rm300 labour n tools only. All cement, adheisive .....supply by me

They purposely come to do this? Or they are doing some other thing at the same time and treat this as extra works?

For stone/ marble installation, bulk quantities labour should be rm5-6/sq Ft

Small work there is minimal charges. Is common practice.
