I did 3 screenshots of the unactivated windows as proof and sent them already.

Tried your method and I did get a key. However when I key in again to activate again, it still shows me the same error as what I've screenshot and sent them below. Really fed up with them edi.  vmad.gif  vmad.gif  vmad.gif  vmad.gif

Do you know SKYPE phone activation? Maybe you can use this method and after successful activation you use a software called Advanced Token Manager to backup your key status, each time when you reinstall windows you can activate it without online activation.

This is the words the i sked the most  , "order parts from taiwan " , if they tell u this then u will know u re in for some long running shits ...
and this was what he tol me this morning .. i m fked... zzzz...
are they stupid or smtg ? i mean they should have all the parts ready in malaysia but not only order it when its needed ..
fking i know it might sound harsh bcuz its just 1 week plus but i m still gona say asus sux !
i did a warranty with smasung las time and they only take about 1-2 days to inform me what is the problem .
*
You know why? Bcs i think they dont have production plant in Malaysia, all of them just send back to Taiwan to replace, shipping already take at least 1 week, then we users wait until bones left. Same thing goes to MSI and Gigabyte, if anything rosak, prepare for 1 month fight.

Bro thats not a good excuse .. If the dont produce it then they should have ship the parts in , if they only order it when they needing it and their efficiency is so low then of cuz we re gona complain !! keep some stock here then only replenish it when it runs out , is it that hard ? Asus u re either incompetent or fking stingy to save the money of stocking few parts .
*
Not just Asus, I have come acrossed some cases posted on MSI facebook, regardless of what issue, they also need to ship the parts from or send back to Taiwan or China factory. This is sad to hear but it is true like most of the cases. You notice that in those Asus, MSI and Gigabyte especially warranty section, I never heard warranty extension, upgrade etc before, may be they have, but at least I can assure MSI dont provide. Meanwhile, Lenovo, DELL, Illegear and (Toshiba??) provide warranty upgrade service also. So, that is the difference.

Regarding the complaint part, may be only a small portion especially lowyat forumers but not other customers, other customers who buy without go through lowyat forum are not aware!! Plus, good price and stylish design always attract female customer whom are even not aware of, mostly they just go in, good looking, pay money then that is it.

Keep bombarding on their Facebook, Twitter etc, daily, rclxms.gif

Make a short video, posted on Youtube, make an "Asus Sucks 1.0" T-shirt.

Call for gathering and demonstration until Asus is out of Malaysia, haha.

Hi, i owned one but is 2011 model.. k40 if not mistaken.. serve me well, maybe just lucky cos no heavy usage. Like the fan design behind keyboard.

Im actually plan to purchase 1 cos of my previous experience. Keen on MSI but after view this thread.. . hmm.gif
Still im supporting them. Just warranty messing up am i right?
*
Notorious warranty support is a major issue, imagine when you purchase a new laptop but has some issue after few hours/days/weeks/months, then you need to send back for warranty as it is still covered. So, you need to wait for weeks/months for your laptop to come back flawlessly. Can you wait for weeks/months before laptop coming back?

Buying new laptop is like gambling, you need to pray nothing happen to your laptop, even if it happens, warranty support and service must be good to backup. Asus keep praising itself has the first or second of the least defect rate for its units, I think it is useless, when bad apple comes no one can avoid, so, your warranty support becomes so important.

You take a good care of your old laptop but this time when you choose Asus again, good luck for you. FYI, MSI is also from Taiwan, anything happen may need to ship parts to/from Taiwan. Illegear has warehouse near Kluang, Johor. DELL always has many parts to backup (bcs warranty support is the best). HP, Sony, Samsung, Lenovo dunno.

Well i agree. Getting a lemon unit is fully depend on your luck seriously. I bet inappropriate handling from transport or shop keeper plays important part too. Mind to share what is major problem u guys faced before? I believed out of 100 there will be at least half of it still working fine while another half getting problems.

Special care needed imo.. putting under fan, minimal graphic usage and so on.. it's fragile compared to desktop anyway. My way of usage is very kiasu indeed but it's still working fine. I still can use it but i wish to upgrade my Duo core to i5/7.  smile.gif

My current GT70 2OC biggest problem was USB 3.0 issue, file transfer keep disconnecting, but I solve it by myself icon_rolleyes.gif

I also use external cooler, even lift up the cooler using book/box like a rig/platform. biggrin.gif

If you want to maintain your laptop after 2~4 yrs, better choose those laptops with maintainance friendly, easy for you to clean dust, thermal paste, upgrade etc.

Wow for d spec and considering my days years back, it's a godlike machine if u know wat i mean.. Good skills u had there solving issue.  rclxms.gif

Ok i better switch to other thread for laptop recommendation.  icon_rolleyes.gif

During the old time, GT70 can be RM1xxxx, but nowadays with Nvidia improved GPU, every laptop can be said gaming laptop. sweat.gif

Actually, this USB 3.0 issue caused me a lot of trouble, imagine you test it from Win 8 to 7 then 8.1, keep installing, keep testing, keep google, keep frustrating. You may wander why I dont send for warranty support, bcs I know this will gonna take weeks/months to inspect and may not be able to find out issue, while I can use weeks/months to find solution. I only send for warranty if there is CONFIRMED hardware issue, software? Nope, you always can solve by yourself through GOOGLE. icon_idea.gif

This will be my first and last Asus. Will not even recommend to anyone else in future.

The CS have just replied and said that the A450LD-WX105H is available for exchange for my problematic S400CA. Hope my nightmare ends here once and for all. Really terrible dealing with them as I always have to follow up by myself.

Similar experience but nothing to do with Asus, it is about Logitech Wireless mouse, twice malfunction on USB receiver within 1 year, willingly to pay extra to upgrade as I need to use mouse immediately. Plus, warranty refreshes to 3 years, haha. Overall, Logitech Malaysia distributor is good.

Logitech mouse then nvm lo. Buy new one aje.. But laptop leh, RM2000+ gadgets. No way to tolerate.  doh.gif
*
Mouse not cheap leh, at least RM200+, consider very good already, but I have no luck. But for laptop, if you are worry of after sales service, you should consider DELL, if not, Taiwan manufacturer quality still cant rival or only "made for US region" is decent quality.

Yeap, Dell will be a better choice. But currently I do not have much choice left as I am dealing with Asustek Malaysia directly now. Replacement will be a lot easier to get compared to refund which will jump to a lot of departments and the whole process may take forever considering their service level.
*
Good luck for your battle smile.gif

By the way, US/Europe region seems praising ASUS laptops for every review. ASUS already receives high ratings few times, just the after sales services in Malaysia.

duwan Dell.. get electric shock many times..  shakehead.gif accidentally  touch the head.. get electric shock.. other brand seems ok.. safe a bit laugh.gif
*
DELL or Lenovo or Illegear should be your option as they cover accidental damage in their warranty upgrade. Illegear should be okay for you, just the 3 yrs warranty upgrade is expensive, DELL at least has discount for 3 years.....

Same goes for me..

Sent in to lowyat service centre 3 times, found out is Asus's built problem > 1st Tribunal > 2nd Tribunal > 1st laptop exchange > same prob > 2nd laptop exchange > now

But whole process is a torture, 10 months+ in total ding dong here there..  vmad.gif
*
Impressive with your patience!! notworthy.gif

Almost 1 year you have struggled with Asus, if I were you, I think I just throw the Asus laptop to them.

Hahaha I'll take that as a compliment..  doh.gif  It's my company's laptop, so in order not to lower productivity, I cannot afford to send in the laptop allowing them to ding dong with the refund within their account department for god knows how long.  rclxub.gif  If I can, I wish I can throw my 17' big ass laptop now to Asus's CEO's face in Taiwan..  laugh.gif

Whole process near to 10 months but most of the time I am waiting response from tribunal and Asus. I actually waited 3 months + for tribunal's first respond because they moving to new office, so land line not working and no one to entertain my emails..  sweat.gif  sweat.gif  sweat.gif

In short, whole process is a torture. The so call "customer care specialist" not so specialist at all. Everything I have to call him personally using my hand phone to follow up. I believe I'm the specialist here not him..  doh.gif
*
I totally understand, keep waiting for response and updating progress are torture. At the same time, do you reflect your case to ASUS Taiwan HQ or similar? Even logging the tribunal case, if the Taiwan HQ is not aware and not giving pressure to Malaysia HQ, then it wont gonna improve the service anyway. Though it may seem useless but at least you do whatever you can as a customer. smile.gif

Nah, no point letting them know also as it involves too many parties edi. I believe they should be able to see clearly at their Asus Global facebook page, complaints all over the world.

From Malaysia, Singapore to India but they never, ever responded to any of them. Since they want to rot, let's make them rot lah.  whistling.gif
*
If that is the case, so just let them bye bye lah. icon_rolleyes.gif

I am very upset with brands that only focus on sales target, after sales service is part of the product life cycle.

So, I had decided to buy an Asus gaming laptop G750JX......

after seeing all the complaint in this thread, should I continue with this purchase? I do love this laptop model but don't want to go through all those hassle if (touch wood) anything happen to my laptop.......
*
Just buy it, then you will be on boat with people here. Haha. tongue.gif

BTW, you can consider Illegear RS-17 Evo and Alienware 17, these are the current twin fans gaming laptop which also provide good warranty service.
