Hi bro.. Thanks for your suggestion ...
Does this automatic check/calculate usage time & consumption for 30days &
Device will start reading once aircond is on ?
That means Wall Outlet => Device => Air Cond plug ... right ?

My aircond is running from wall outlet to heather switch then aircond, where does this device intercept ?

I need to design a special lock so tenant cant reset & its plug always...

This one is like those timer switch for the wall outlet. If your tenant takes out the device and plug the aircon plug directly into the wall socket, then there is no record... whistling.gif

You may need to do some rewiring to have the wiring pass thru a meter which will record all current. That way all power consumption will be accounted for. This will involve some cost...
Why don't you work out the consumption for the aircon an charge this as a fix sum monthly. Just have to give & take ...
Less hassle by having to read the meters, etc monthly...

Now cracking my brains to modify & ensure the aircond plug is stays in the meter reader.
Technician just need to change the water heater plug into a normal 3 pin plug => meter reader => air cond plug
(then fix a cage/lock so cant excess reset button & such) blink.gif
or I just glue the meter reader & aircond plug .. sad.gif
then the problem is how to cover the reset button... pulak
if power failure info semua habis... pening pening ... icon_question.gif

Wonder does market has a special kind of plug comes with a lock & keys ... blush.gif

Orang yang tak suka air-cond will suka air-cond & bantai kaw-kaw... (me too)
Thanks to TNB now I got a new digital meter ... vmad.gif

I bought this meter which I think made in china type

http://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/...er-to-illegals/

and connect it in such a way Main Power Source -> Air Cond ON/OFF Switch -> Meter -> Aircond

The Meter will tell you how many watts that your Aircond use per month. (Of course u need to calculate the unit watts multiply with RMx.xx/unit)

Thanks, you guys got great ideas... I really wish infuture outlet plugs has build in digital reading & self reading... brows.gif

If the recommended meter reader works, I plan to install & heck/mofify Ikea frame mount on the wall with keys (easy said than done) or simply pass the pening to frame maker cup on with glass & keys... (wah lau what a break through)

Have to do it, to protect minimum air-cond user... brows.gif

Does this automatic check/calculate usage time & consumption for 30days - YES. It keeps its memory with batter if unplugged (~ 3 months depending on use) or with current from AC when plugged in.

Device will start reading once aircond is on ? - YES, meter will start running when power is used. It will always be on when plugged in to AC outlet and when switch is on.

That means Wall Outlet => Device => Air Cond plug ... right ? - Yes. That means you have to alter the aircond plug to use standard 13A socket. Would suggest to use a high quality plug with - 13A fuse and electrical cable.

Note: As advised by the manufacturer in the manual, it is not recommended to keep the power meter plugged in indefinitely and should be used only for the duration of the measurement.
