QUOTE(VinceCheong @ Nov 8 2012, 09:45 PM)
by the glance of both specs and review
I'd choose the latter, the Canon XF100.... because of one of it's recording format as it looks like a broadcast-ready camera... with a CBR of 50MBps and colour sampling of 4:2:2
over SONy HXR-NX5p, where it only records at 4:2:0 AVCHD h.264 compression... plus the Canon uses CF cards biggrin.gif... love those cards, better realiability as compared to SDs (but i'm sure the recording medium's reliability increases with new technology) **** Talking about having the ability to record 422 onboard without any external recorder***
But both camera can record 422 no doubt... The sony has its HDSDI output to record 422 to an external....

GOtta do more research to give you an answer... smile.gif

Ok, i've decided to buy canon xf100 and now i need a good suggestion on wireless mic to pair with the hdcam. If anyone knows good seller that sell the hdcam with a decent price, i'd be much appreciated. Thanks!
