Finally, have enough moolah to ditch my HDV and buy a new set of mirrorless for my video work. I’m thinking of getting A6500 with 18-105mm as my run and gun and A7R3 (or A7S2) and 16-35mm F4 for my B-roll. My work relatively is on event & journo types so the video mostly short per take but frequent. Meaning for single event coverage I usually take 100 plus shots. My question is can A6500 take the abuse of start and stop like proper video camera do daily.
As for my B-roll camera, it is mainly for low light situation as most of product launching are on very dim. Great for spectacular gimmick but very bad for video coverage. Does A7R3 has adequate capabilities for low light or must I go for the the king of low light. The final edit will not be shown on any big screen anyway and being an event/news video, the news supersedes the video so some imperfection is acceptable.
