A6300 with sigma 30 1.4 (Video AF on)
Beholder DS1
Mostly shot in 1080p 100fps for slow-mo
Wide open most of the time (with ND to bring down shutter speeds for outdoor)
Actual 4K out of camera is amazing, 1080p on the other hand is kind of soft, but still within acceptable means console.gif

Generally, these are some of the settings that I keep in mind

White Balance - Keep it as manual or select any one of the profiles in your camera
Video Resolution - e.g. 4K 25fps or 1080P 100fps
Shutter Speed - at least 2x of fps(e.g. 25fps shoot at 1/50 shutter or higher), or higher if you need to interpolate high speed fps.
Autofocus - If you have PDAF or Dual Pixel AF equiv cameras, you *could* leave it on. Otherwise, I manually measure distance to subject(roughly) and pre-focus.
Aperture - depend on your creative needs(wide open to bokeh background away) or environmental issues (wide open due to insufficient lighting)

100fps mostly for slowmo right? Not sure what Dual Pixel AF equiv cameras is but im using A6000.

if for non-scripted & don wan to miss any moment. just stay wide and auto focus right?

In your video mostly 1.4 wide is it?

Great video. How long does your A6000 last battery wise? and how many batteries do you carry? I am considering an a6xxx too for vlogs : )
*
Thanks! I brought total 4 batteries lol, but only used 1 or 2 each day depending on my activities. If you wan to vlog using a6xxx make sure you get the 10-18mm wide lense, because 6xxx doesn't have a flip screen, you can't check if you're in the frame so you wanna make sure your lens is wide enough to cover large area.

And a6000 doesn't have a audio jack too so it has limited external microphone choices, i suggest you go with 6300 or later which have built in audio jack if money is not an issue tongue.gif

Great vlog! I thoroughly enjoyed it smile.gif Looks like you guys enjoyed such a wonderful holiday! haha. I'm actually quite surprised you didn't get "shot" down for using your drone lol.

thanks hehe, will get shot down mea? Launceston is quite a quiet town though so i guess not so strict. Few people were flying their drones in the lavender farm & the cataract gorge too tongue.gif
