Want to ask those who have use Ronin or Ronin M gimbal.
I am having slight trouble on balancing the roll axis . I am using Canon 60D with 17-55 F2.8 IS. I have use manfrotto quick plates.
If I am using Manfrotto 323 photo base plate, I can able to get all balanced up. If I am using Manfrotto 577 video base plate, I have trouble to balance the roll axis. The camera will automatically go back to center if i turn the camera angle.
I try to fine tune Advanced Roll section but it is kinda pain to troubleshoot. I need to understand is it too heavy when I put with manfrotto 577 plate? What is your setup then ?
Also anyone have using wireless focus when pairing with ronin M ? Which model do you feel is comfortable with value and performance ?

kayFX I just add quick plate to make it "quick" swap to tripod or monopod to the dslr. The issue I have imagine if you turn your camera left or right like 45 degree , after release it will come back to center, not like will stay on that same position. When I turn on everything is fine for me, just I want to make it as perfect balance as possible but doesn't know the root cause on this.
now i have to practice my walking / running movement cause I can see my clip does like walking up down a bit.
I haven't get the thumb controller but I feel it is a great tool for solo shooter.

got any recommendation for the monitor? I was checking a android phone to pair up with app then you can control the DSLR by USB if not wrong. I saw some user are doing that to monitor their view using phone.
Anyway I got the thumb controller already... pretty happy for solo camera user like me.

so far I balance the camera first then connect the cable... ( suppose you have to put everything first then calibrate but i can see the system doesn't have issue on balancing ). The cables also need flexible not too thick ( or heavy ) which may impact the balance as well too.
Thanks for the sharing on the updates ... will try update tonight. Seem a new function " Pull Mode " is great stuff .

Haha eagle eyes indeed.
Yup button controller for camera from Aputure ... for recording button and focusing ...so my hand no need always go to camera to press the red record button.
How I wish everything is wireless. With wires it feel messy indeed ...
All cheap cheap accessories, unlike yours all super duper ... haha

I saw Thai team demonstrate is normally when switch on, we normally not going to touch the camera. If you need change the position of the camera angle we normally use our controller or turn the gimbal etc. With Pull mode, you can alter or "pull" the position of camera angle by hand towards the camera and it will stay the position you have set. Pull mode available in PAN and TILT section.
With this push mode on , we may no need to use the DJI wireless remote controller as we can turn the the camera to any kind of position. But please do aware that the motor is still ON and MAY damage the motor if use too frequently adjust by hand towards the camera. So some pro and con on this function.
DJI firmware update mentioned :
The added Push Mode allows the tilt and pan axes to be adjusted directly by hand while the Ronin-M is turned on. This function can be enabled in the DJI Assistant app or PC/MAC Assistant.

DIY you can buy a green cloth to make it the green screen from any cloth shop.
Professional style is go to studio room and put some green paint or green backdrop.

Great video @DS_Legacy
There are so many factors if you are expecting the system for the AF techonlogy to be perfect.
As videographer, we can't expect the AF to be very accurate even though you jump ship or upgrade to higher spec.
So Manual Focus and your eye/finger is the way to go.
but no harm you can check with other brand to suit the AF focus which you are after.

@gerald7
Great execution on this video project. Tips may help you on the next shoot -
1) Try to explain to spectator what do you want to deliver between this car, how long he serve you / how you think of this car / what is the attraction you want this car to perform etc 2) some more close up shot ( start the engine , Key ignition , engine details , special modification etc ) You have all the outside footage but nothing for inside. 3) music choice is ok but is the complete version of the music used ? If not going to use full then this video can cut till 1:30 minutes instead to 3:23 minutes 4) add some text animation if feel boring towards footage. 5)0:13 drone intro clip can reverse back to intro towards the car ...
Great work indeed !
