Maybe i could add something on this..a camcorder colour setting will be different in hue, sometimes the contrast is much higher due to high aperture to capture motion. To compare this maybe you could try a camcorder with video/still mode and you will see a difference. The biggest difference of sony NEX VG compared to other prosumer/normal camcorder is the CMOS size is as big as SLR so the details is much better. I'm also thinking to get it..but maybe in 3 years time/when DV tape is coming to extinction ..
