what are you hiding? your objective is to get a job and secure some income. do what you need to do to reach that objective.
this is not primary school where you play hide and seek. |

QUOTE(Mavik @ Aug 19 2011, 11:42 AM) First of all, why should a company pay you more if you are applying for a job with a similar job description? Also if a company is offering you more pay, they are also making a gamble that it assumes you should be able to perform at that pay level. Because over here if you jump jobs and do exactly the same thing, you are expected to be paid 30% more. that is the candidate mindset. |

QUOTE(langstrasse @ Nov 25 2011, 10:53 PM) I'm just wondering how often companies contact referees when it comes to hiring entry level fresh graduates. Usually they put ex-lecturers and relatives. Its not really useful because most lecturers wont even remember you.I would say best 2 referees: 1) the lecturer of your FYP 2) the supervisor during your internship QUOTE(edvey @ Nov 27 2011, 02:24 PM) champion! you should not do that, unless you already resigned.QUOTE(langstrasse @ Dec 8 2011, 01:36 AM) A luxury not everyone can afford. |

QUOTE(Nuke @ Mar 20 2012, 11:05 PM) Guys, I have accepted the offer from company A and I have the offer letter with me. Is't appropriate to use that offer letter to negotiate the salary during the interview with company B? Only if you know for sure company B is offering less than A.And if company B is asking if you are exploring other opportunities. |
