dats y u guys no need to believe in rumors...s3 is a victim of a rumors..pity on s3...what happen if there is no rumors...?
*
Well, they must be pretty hyped up before being able to generate such rumours. So in a graph, starting from point x, rumours push interest up to point z. Then disappointment brings it down to point y, which is still higher than starting point (point x aka no rumours).

So end up, rumours push forecast/expectations up. Disappointment brings expectation/forecast of sales down abit. Actual sales higher than forecast/expectations. Company becomes proud, like a bawse. hahaha.

When you're a big company, you learn to live with such things. Learn to accept that criticism and what nots can work in your favor smile.gif

Ya, honestly I think samsung made the rumours up, 1 day 1 news about Galaxy S 3.
*
And proly selectively pushed out "test units" in dummy shells to further fume speculation. They might as well have done so, since S2 sold so well and anticipation on this one was so high

Guess he means after taking into account subpixel arrangement and somehow working that back upwards to "individual pixels"

i see. i lazy read the article because its in chinese, eventhou i understand chinese  sweat.gif
so in conclusion what they have to say about the s3 screen?
*
Beats me. At least u can understand, I can't read for nuts.

Anyways, in Nexus, anandtech, he wagered that "if you were satisfied with the pixel density of SGS2 that the pixel density Galaxy Nexus actually won't be off-putting despite the presence of PenTile".

In the S3 preview, he says some mumbo jumbo which seems to say that S3's screen is better than Nexus' one.

Well I guess some people are more sensitive to such things. An example which comes to mind to me are earphones/headphones. Some ppl give them any earphone oso say sound the same. Latest Stax headphone is USD5,200, and some websites will tell you it's a good buy wink.gif

But mostly, I think it's just knowledge. In real life, might not notice, but as a head knowledge, paying for a product, you don't want to have the knowledge that the screen is actually sub-par

Sorry guys not to be anal, but isn't it "larger" aperture, but lower "f-stop number" (technically f-stop number is the denominator, so after division, you still end up with a larger number i.e. larger opening i.e. larger aperture).

Larger opening, so the other variable of shutter speed can be reduced to receive equal light/exposure.

And yeah, would agree "aperture size" in itself does not affect quality of picture whatsoever. But it is also true that indirectly, assuming shutter speed is constant, given the same exposure target, you would get lower ISO usage, which in turn is suppose to give you less noise.

But its android, arent most of us gonna root and put in custom ROMS in the end?
*
Most of us here in lyn, yeah sure. But not even all.

Still, there's a large market out there that don't either root or jb, and manufacturers are going after such ppl. And they do make up proly a larger market than us laugh.gif
