QUOTE(banduan @ May 6 2012, 11:54 PM) I've posted my problem in FB group, check if you're curious. If confirmed by anyone else then we got a big issue. I'm guessing your concern is on the car boot lock. Did you try putting the smart key far away, and try opening the boot from the button at the boot (above the back number plate). Just tested on mine, seems to work. As in, the boot is still locked with the smart key nowhere near the car. I remember my SA mentioned the boot lock works the same as the front doors. |

QUOTE(666devil @ May 7 2012, 12:51 AM) I think u got it the other way. If car door is locked, u must have key with u when press button at the back of boot, not put the key far away... The concern here is to make sure the boot is properly locked, hence to have the key far away. If the key is nearby, you can open the boot with the back button regardless whether the doors are locked or otherwise. At least this is what I'm experiencing. |

QUOTE(666devil @ May 7 2012, 12:59 AM) Now u got me confused Hmm you brought up an interesting question. Can we open the boot from the back button if the key is IN the car and the doors are locked? That would not be safe now would it? Gonna try that out in the morning. Is the car locked in the first place? If the car is not locked and u r in the car, by right u should have just used the latch under the seat. U mean if the car is not locked and u r NOT in the car, u must put the key far far away to use the boot button at the back? Logic also if not it will assume u wanna activate the alarm again? |

QUOTE(666devil @ May 7 2012, 01:16 AM) No u can't. U also cannot start the engine if u forgot that ur key is in a bag in the trunk. It must be with u, in the pocket maybe. Actually it's for ur own safety Great, at least you tested that scenario. Thanks Already tested those scenarios with my SA in the showroom |

Hi guys, any 1.8 owners here managed to upgrade their PaPaGo map to the latest May version?
On another note, the HU is pretty crap. The radio for no reason will 'jump' frequency. And sometimes when I'm playing songs from the USB, it would cut to radio for few seconds, then resume back to USB. Honestly thinking of swapping it out, but what options do I have? |

QUOTE(LTG @ May 16 2012, 12:10 AM) as i know dont touch original file , but can copy the lastest map and update ~ Hmm guess I screwed up the SDcard then. 'Cos I did copy out the whole content as backup (act of habit) when I was trying to update the map. No wonder I have been having problem searching for a destination. I can view the map, just couldn't find any POI or keyword. Called up M3 support, supposed to go see them one of these days.Added on May 16, 2012, 12:13 amhttp://www.malsingmaps.com/portal/ for lastest map 1.8's HU uses PaPaGo M3GPS X8.5, which uses MFM (http://malfreemaps.com/) maps. QUOTE(666devil @ May 16 2012, 07:10 AM) These are the steps given by M3 support:» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(joanalooidog @ May 16 2012, 07:31 AM) I Dun think the GPS is that smart.normal GPS can backup the sdcard one. When Yu wanna update map just download the new map and replace the content in MAP folder. Tried all that you mentioned. Even bought a new 4GB SDcard (contents copied from original SDcard) just to test, but with this new card it can't even lock-in the GPS signal. Decided not to sweat over it anymore and call up for the support. Now, just have to find time to go over to Phileo II for them to take a look at.Try this lah, copy back the old map from your backup to the sdcard and try again. If still cannot copy the whole backup to your sdcard . |

QUOTE(elantra9336 @ Jun 3 2012, 09:46 PM) my mp3 song and mpg mtv playback the last play everytime i off and on back....so its shd not be th HU problem I don't have problem with the playback either, able to resume from where I stopped. Only thing is I have to press the Shuffle again, I like them on random. However, I do have problem with some of the folders not able being read by the HU. I have several folders in my 8GB USB (7 or 8 of them, I think), and each folder has less than 255 files (max requirement supported by my previous car's player). This HU only able to read/play the first 3 or 4 folders. The rest of the folders are just blanks, as in nothing is being displayed on the song selection. Tried to look for some specifications on the manual book, but found nothing useful, especially on the folder structures and the limitations. Anyone has more 'details' on their HU? Or face similar problem? I'm really tempted to just change the HU to a better one when more options are available in the market. Oh btw, my experience above is on the 1.8 HU. |

Couldn't wait for my SA (last I heard, he has resigned!) to give me the Hyundai emblems anymore, so decided to get it on my own for RM60 over here: http://nfautopartssupply.blogspot.com/2012...012-emblem.html. According to the boss' wife, the stocks are really limited. Not more than 10 sets are ordered for each batch. These emblems came direct from Korea, they have those 'official' silver stickers. Please note these emblems are for the 1.8 model. Not sure about 1.6 ones.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I only managed to fix the front emblem as it was getting dark and late. Took me longer than expected. If you're going to fix these on your own, please be extra careful. The original Inokom badge has 'hooks' or 'clips' at the back. So it's not that easy to pull out. Initially I tried to remove the whole front grill so that I can reach the back of the badge. But the grill sorta stick on to the whole front bumper. So, decided to just give up the idea and force that whole piece out. Just as I pulled, heard something broke. I swear my heart skipped a beat. But luckily it was the badge's hook. Not like I need that piece of panadol/c*nd*m/middle finger anymore anyways. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « For your information, the front Hyundai emblem does not have 3M stickers like the rear emblem. It only has 2 'poles' (just like the rear emblem in the first picture) sticking out for proper alignment. Forgot to take picture of that. Sorry. It doesn't fit in tightly to the base, it will easily dropped once you let go. So you probably need something to hold the emblem to the base. I used the good old superglue method. But I'm sure you guys can figure out a better method if you're going to do your's. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « So it took me a little more than an hour to get this done. Will probably work on the back emblem tomorrow or over the weekend. Anyone removed their back emblem before? Are there any hooks? |
