cant be compared...SD strategy guide is also given by the govt..nothing they can do...car is not meant to be compared always...depends on your budget mostly...
it is a never ending story as every 5-10k you add on you could get a better car...and it goes over and over again...just buy the car u like most that is within your budget that you're comfortable with...
if this same spec of elantra 1.8 applied to a HONDA civic..priced at 160k/150k..then people tend to mark it "reasonable for its specs"...if elantra were to sell below 100k for the 1.8...how can other car sell? lol
Actually Elantra is kinda overpriced for that. SD should know most ppl havent got confidence in Korean car yet, they should price competitively with Kia instead. Thats why in poll i created earlier, ppl still prefer Forte over Elantra. A 1.8 Civic priced 150k is reasonable because of the brand. Brand defines the price.
Most that bought Elantra are ppl that already knew about this car already. People that dunno about that have hard time to be convinced about buying Elantra unless they got friend who can give solid evidence of convincing them. and then, there's Forte.
And i do agree that the car that won most awards is not the same car that is available in Malaysian market. the one here kena potonged here and there

and upgraded in one area - price
yeah, govt set the price range for that, but the final price is determined by SD.
