Cant wait for this. Enjoyed most of Relic's RTS and this one should not be too bad.

QUOTE(Binaryteo @ Jul 5 2012, 07:28 AM) COH 2 and Rome 2 are probably my most anticipating games in 2013, heard that EA is going to release C&C: generals 2 but prolly will pirate that one for what they did to westwood lol. If you do not like a particular developer's game, then dont play their game. Just keep it simple. Not wanting to buy their game, but still want to pirate their game will only tell EA that PC gamers are a bunch of pirates. At the end, its all the PC gamers getting screwed over by EA or other developers taking EA's words into account.Anyways, will definitely buy this...I just hope COH 2 will live up to their hype and provide the same excitement as to what COH did. It is nice that EA is putting some attention on PC, so please show them some appreciation by not pirating their game, if you are not buying it. Personally, i am not really a fan of them after all the crap they make recently. |

QUOTE(memphiz_zero88 @ Apr 6 2013, 11:26 PM) looks like the preorder bonus on Steam has been changed entirely, if anyone cares. i thought last time got the reward tier-based bonus, right? Yea, changed to this totally bullshit one.http://store.steampowered.com/app/231430/ Since when Doctrine trees has become DLCs? I really hope CoH2 isnt destroyed by microtrasactions or tonnes of game changing DLC to imbalance the game. CoH1 had a small, but very interesting competitive scene, and i hope it will still be there. EDIT: Its finished. This post has been edited by Cheesenium: Apr 7 2013, 04:59 PM |

QUOTE(commanderz @ Jul 2 2013, 09:23 AM) I dont know why you keep comparing a 5 years+ old game with 1 expansions and countless patches to a brand new game that is just out recently. To be honest, at least CoH2 didnt come out with some incredibly stupid balance issues like how almost all previous Relic games had. That Necron Death March and IG Spam still scares me till this day. Or Stug spam in CoH1 and Brit artillery spam in OF. Brits Kangaroo Super Convertible Tanks too. On top that CoH2 did not have the severe performance issue with most PC like COH1 or DoW2. On top of that, it is a RTS game campaign, what else do you want it to change? It is always either build a force and steamroll the enemy, defend till the end of days, or those missions with a handful of units. Even SC2's fairly impressive campaign still feel more of the same at times. While till now, I have not played a RTS with an impressive story because RTS is just a horrible genre to tell a story. Im more concern with the damn commander types as DLCs than anything else. |

QUOTE(kianweic @ Aug 25 2014, 10:46 AM) Hmmm there is another standalone American campaign. The new campaign will be a standalone expansion, called Ardennes Assault that is based on Battle of the Bulge.I thought the developer only released more maps for Company of Heroes 2 only. When will this campaign be out? You will get an overview map where you choose where to fight, then preserve units that retain their veterancy from one mission to another. More info here: http://www.coh2.org/news/22744/ardennes-as...ampaign-details They did not provide much information though but it seemed like it is quite replayable. Alternatively, can wait for Act of Aggression, Etherium, Ancient Space and Grey Goo. I think the RTS as a genre is having a rebound now after it being dead for years. |

QUOTE(kianweic @ Aug 25 2014, 11:11 AM) Thanks, I will access the link at home. There arent much informaiton about the rest.I am quite interested in Act of Aggression. I haven't heard of the rest. Etherium is running a Beta soon. Seemed like a mix of C&C and Sup Com. Grey Goo is made by the ex-developers of C&C. So far hands on feedback is we are getting a unique RTS. No idea is it any good or will it be free to play, again. Ancient Space is a new RTS published by Paradox. Seemed to be inspired from Homeworld. There is also one called Conflicks: Revolutionary Space Battles. What is known so far is, it is a RTS with the flicking birds mechanics from Angry Birds for unit movement. No gameplay footage or anything more except this rather amusing reveal trailer. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « There is also Planetary Annihilation but that one, it was really underwhelming to me. |

Never liked the campaign. It is just too much hand holding and the counter attacks that spawns at a set period are really annoying.
Theater of War missions are a lot more fun. |
