After playing for around roughly an hour or so, already finished the prison sequence and the mini quest with the tall blonde chick and the old man.(I suppose it took longer because I was exploring most of the time).
I don't know if it's just me, but the whole experience was underwhelming. I understand they had to tone it down to incorporate the MMO elements of it, but after booting Skyrim again, I just felt that everything was cheapened in TESO.
Before you guys get on my case, I've played SWTOR and WOW before, and I understand how the whole MMORPG deal works but I just didn't feel the spirit of TES in this game.
I just thought the combat system was downright clunky. Played as an archer(Breton) at first and it was no near as satisfying as it was in Skyrim or even Oblivion.
And seeing other people run around like headless chickens(like every other MMO

) around me while listening to the NPC giving climatic speeches was a bit lore breaking and it ruined the immersion for me.
It could still be improved before release, but right now I can't justify purchasing it and subscribing(unless it goes to F2P of course).
I do hope they manage to improve the combat system, texture quality and fix the clipping bugs, I'd hate to miss out on the storylines in this game as it follows the whole Elder Scrolls lore.
Yeah compare to skyrim this is like oblivion online gameplay but I hope that they make the skills more interesting like combo or more debuff and buff. At least they keep the class system which is great for MMO adding more class and skill tree will help. For me I feel like it needs more active bar skills cause I played a lot of wow and more skill on the bar is definitely more fun. The only thing worries me is how the end gameplay works like raids, pvp and characters progression. Now they keep having maintenance during beta
