EDIT: after going through the design etc. I think it's a modified style of rubber dome. Finally got an answer after wondering for so many years lol.

Probably a proof of concept on cheaper wood before moving on to more expensive wood.

Are wood supposed to be more expensive than Metal?
I'd pay 160Euros for a metal case, but for wood, I'm not gonna.

@rurushu I couldn't open the required area, only can see slightly from the side. Microsoft seems unwilling to have their toys taken apart. So I can't risk it... I only cleaned with moist cloth and blow in with my air pump during cleaning.

@JohnDiew0107 the spring not under the dome, that's for sure. But I can't remember the exact set up either, I only opened it once and that's more than half a year ago.

It uses quite a few of what seem to be flex cables (similar to those used in flip phones etc), and I can be quite clumsy at times lol. That's why don't want to risk it.

I came to realize that when I first saw 7G few years back

since then I always targeted one

i dont need fancy backlit, nor macro... i just need more kro than my fingers and fast response

now that going to get one, might as well target for some keygasm too

never tried topre yet, and it's unlikely I'll ever get to demo one in penang... shops sell too much razer stuffs to even consider other brands 

is it easy to find blank keycaps for cm storm quickfire rapid?

quickfire rapid has standard layout.. hence super easy to find key caps..

has anyone here ordered from wasdkeyboard?
