warping u mean something like small bending?
*
Just got mine 10minutes before, it look great,
but like Kai said the middle are bent upward so the middle part are not touching the keyboard, it's like a bridge, u know what I mean?
and it doesn't stay at the surface of the keyboard, it slide downward or left or right side of the keyboard....

I think I need to get some foam or soft jelly kind of thing to stick it to the edge of it to prevent it from slipping around...
that will also solve the issue of mid bending upward like a bridge.

Overall the item very good at it's price, if I want a perfect roof made just for HHKB Pro2,
that's going to cost me $USD40.00 without shipment, from EK.

Thank you for your effort to make this group buy a successful one.
I really appreciate it.

what im trying to say is that, if it doesnt register it means you can't press 7 keys simultaneously, and you won't be able to hold 7 of them either... if you can press 6 simultaneously, you can also hold 6 keys with ease

that seems to be true at least for my chapalang keyboard.. maybe mechanical keyboard works differently... i don't own one yet so i can't confirm this tongue.gif

edit: quickfire rapid seems to be cheap... RM229 lidet... any issues so far with this keyboard?? just sad it isn't full size >"<
*
I would suggest you get my Steelseries Full NKRO, with another RM70, but the keycaps has to go with it.... sweat.gif

erm.....
I think I have to sell the keyboard without the keycaps for RM350......

I think the HHKB Pro 2 is supposed to be 45g uniform. But I've read people reporting the feel is different to the Realforce 45g and the real weighting on the HHKB is something closer to 50g.
*
Thanks for the info, I do not know what is the actual weight, but it seem heavier than the red switch Leopold......
Red switch is 45g right? then it is suppose to be 50g or even 55g...... not sure how to measure it.....
wait let me try this....

Attached Image
That's some one cent! around 28+-,
the weight is 56g and the key sink in!

Attached Image
Tragic happen!!! when testing the enter key!!!
the tower had fallen!!!
later tested it sink in at 58g....

Attached Image
this is the weight for A key....

Heard that it is due to the property of the dome. Hard to make domes with all having exactly the same stiffness. The rating on the specs is +/-15g... sweat.gif
*
you are right, the enter are different weight already,
I think maybe will find all different weight if I test all keys sweat.gif
and the Fn key is 51g =_=|||
is that because of my scale are broken or the standard of Malaysia 1 cents are non standard?
also the possibility of the dome are different weight @@ rclxub.gif

@kaysa - I like your experiments with Malaysian 1 sen coins - makes it more local  smile.gif

Not sure if you have already read this thread: http://goo.gl/35zel

To cut a long story short, there is a theory that the rubber domes stiffen over time... like bicycle tyres. If true, this is not good news for owners of Topre switch keyboards.  cry.gif
*
Ya I read that article before, but this 2nd hand HHKB I got is from 2006, which is 6 years ago.
IMO the stiffening is not as much as the one that they experimenting....
but I haven't try all keys yet, so can't be sure of that, and my scale are not the professional one,
that might not be accurate, just wait till I get something more accurate and test it out.
The A key and Fn key are most often used key in that post's opinion, but the A key on mine are not that much different,
if it is a 55g 6 years ago..... but if it is a 45g 6 years ago, then it has a 11gms different in between 6 years.

all in all, that the 1cents might not be accurate as well as the scale might not be accurate too.
We do not have a conclusion yet.

Yeah, seems that there's various different kind of switch.
I saw a previous post about the Switch Try Numpad ? Should I join in and wait for my turn
Still very new in this mechanical keyboard, so never heard of Ducky or Filco. Are they readily available? And the thought of paying more than RM300 for a keyboard scares me.
*
don't let that small amount scare you brows.gif
wait until you see those Topre's crazy sh!t . cool2.gif

hi, wonder if you customize the keycaps?  smile.gif

*
Customize the keycaps you mean?
which one's keycaps?

The HHKB is black on black blank keycaps,
I put on a set of white and grey keycaps now.

The Steelseries have ABS keycaps, I put on Rainbow PBT keycaps,
but now selling it so I put the ABS back on.

The Leopold Red Switch have 86 PBT Purple on Black PBT keycaps,
which I originally brought for my Filco, and the filch are sold without these keycaps,
so I put them on my Leopold, but the Spacebar wouldn't fit, so it is the original ABS spacebar from Leopold.
thus 86 keys PBT mod, kindda weird.

I suggest you try a variety of mechanical key switches to see what suits you. Everyone's taste is different - it's like clothes, cars, girls... you know what I mean, right? If you can spare a few ringgit for postage, the Switch Try Numpad is a good starting point. If you are in Penang (or Singapore), you are welcome to try my buckling springs keyboards (IBM Model Ms and Fs). I also have a Realforce 87U 45g and some keypads with Cherry MX black and brown switches. You are welcome to test these as well. Besides the feel of the switches, there are also things like keyboard layout, quality, and cost that you should consider.
*
so what do you think of the Realforce 87 layout?
the numlock activate the number beside the Enter key right?
for imputing numbers or uses apps like calculators is it convenience?

ain't all the keycaps are all the same? just the color different? (correct me if im wrong)

i plan to get ducky 1008 but i need to change few keys to red color(beside WASD), so wonder if you got sell them. or customize the kaycaps like have our own design on the print.

P/S: i have zero knowledge at keycaps smile.gif
*
not at all!
there are different materials, like metal, plastic, even wood.
different printings method, like laser, drill, dye, print, subdye and etc

even in the plastic have varied type, like ABS, PBT, POM..
the most common one are ABS plastic, which most of the keyboards uses,
PBT are harder and more durable, and can sustain higher temperature, so they can use different method of printing method.
POM are the hardest plastic uses for keycaps, but some claim it is slippery...

some metal keycaps like Aluminum, Zinc and etc, and they have different printing way too,
I m not a huge fan of cold metal keycaps, so I do not know much about these.

wood keycaps are not that common in mechanical keyboards I think, so far I haven't seen any,
but I seen some normal keyboard with bamboo keycaps and wooden keycaps.

if you want customize print on the keycaps, you can order them from Taobao, each key are RM10.00++, before shipment.
you can have your own picture print on it, I think you can even choose the color of the keycaps,
but I think they uses only PBT, because the printing require heating the keycaps to certain temperature,
and it will not fade even heavily used.

if you are getting some keys, maybe we can order them together to save postage from China.
I have a few ideas of the keys designs myself.
