As from the market price, it is like rm17xx for ori
and only rm12xx for AP.

Which should i go for? since this is what i want till ip5 release.

If i am going for AP, which AP distributor is reliable?

But bro, the price difference is almost more than rm500. That's why I am hesitating on this.

ok already, but it took at least 2-3 weeks for repair, exactly how long i'm not sure because i only follow up after almost 3 weeks sent for repair.

i sent to the shop i bought not directly to AP company, i;m not sure which company though. some of AP service centres are in sg wang plaza last time i check.

I found out that AP set for Galaxy Nexus is from Japan NTT Docomo. The phone code is SC-04D. You guys can google it. But it seems like this unit cant do wifi tethering (hotspot) unlike the original GNex i9250. Hardware all all the same. Also it looks like Gnex has a signal issue.

This is why the price difference betwenn AP and Ori is huge for this model. Unlike other model around 100+ or less.

So for those AP set users here, can you all give comments on wifi hotspot/usb tethering and the signal issue?
What ROM are you guys on?

Users have to comment lor..I'm yet to buy Gnex

Added on May 3, 2012, 9:09 amFrom the forum it looks like only ap gnex has the tethering problem. But it is fixed by flashing the latest ics update by google.
Signal thingy seems to be on all gnex. But I think it is rom related. My fren got this issue on his ori sme gnex on stock rom.

certainly my set is not from ntt docomo.

i think mine is hong kong.

i use both one x and gnex, in terms of speed, gnex is comparable to one x eventhough one x cpu is quad core whatever, my only gripe with gnex is the screeen quality, it looks dirty, not as sharp and bright as one x.

If ur set is sc-04d, then it's docomo set. If not then probably others.
About the screen, u are sayin that IPS2 LCD is better than super AMOLED (without plus), isn't it?

it certainly is, it is obvious one x screen is much better than the one on gnex. the on gnex use pentile(whatever that means tongue.gif )

but still i will let go my one x when nokia pureview 808 is release here(provided the price is right) and keep my gnex.

in terms of speed, not much difference between so called quad core(one x) and dual core(gnex).

depends on where u stay and reputation of the ap company. if u constantly outstation, then ori might make more sense bcos u can send fone for repair easily.

but for a difference of 700 ringgits, better buy ap.

Since the price difference is so high, just get the AP set. As long as the hardware has no problem(check seriously before you buy), check the Galaxy Nexus thread, they will teach you how to check. Any software problem can be solved in XDA forum..^^

Are you sure? Your definition of AP is like water set. Actual AP sets can be brought back to the shop you bought from (where they'll send to the distributor), or you can bring it to the distributor yourself (SLink, Brandstar, etc).
