Hi Guys,

Planning to get a new car but have my eyes set on these 2 cars. But i am still open to suggestion for <140k. resale value is not an issue. my requirements are big space, comfort and less problem with parts and built quality.

I know that these two cars are fairly similar with similar engine and almost the same specs.

Would like to know what you guys think of these cars and has there been any major problems reported.

Many thanks

ehm...
i didnt really compare Tucson with Sportage...
i were comparing Cx-5 with Sportage...i picked CX-5

btw, if Tucson 2.0L with Sportage,
i will pick Sportage.... (not comparing Tucson 2.4L)

Btw, theres alot of blog and review comparison between this 2 cars. can google around and read...im sure this comparison is easy...u will get ur final answer real soon.

..so u made a thread..

tucson and sportage share the same platform.
difference are the exterior and interior looks. so it depends on which one u like more.

other than that.. sportage has a very smart AWD system called Dynamax.. which giving it an edge over the tucson
and plus the gorgeous DRL..  wub.gif
CX-5.. if only u willing to spend 30k more for the same sportage spec (AWD auto) sweat.gif

Yup between Tucson 2.0 HS and Sportage 2.0.

i can really find comparison between the two as they tend to place the NA Tucson with the TC sportage that is not available here

interior, exterior or both?

exterior looks nice IMO. Just the black colored version not as nice as the silver linings become too obvious.

both using the same 2.0 engine bro..so u can just ignore the engine/power comparisons and look for other differences

design wise..diff ppl hv diff taste..so ask urself which one u like more
then go test drive both to be certain of ur choice

Tuscon- more spacer, comfort

Sportage-AWD, sporty, more accessories, Audi spirit.

After test driving both the cars, here is my conclusion

Sportage:
+more features
+a little cheaper
- bad build quality (look into the exhaust mounting, uneven weld and not coated, the test drive unit started to rust there)

Tucson 2.0HS:
+better ride comfort (especially in the back)
+better build quality
-less specs
-no 4WD

i would not buy either of it cuz with this price tag i can get something that offers a much more comfortable drive.

this is my opinion and you may agree or disagree with me
