I bought a ASUS Sabertooth P67 last year december and yesterday i just get myself a front panel USB 3.0. During the moment i insert the connector to the mobo USB 3.0 header, i just notice that one of the golden pin in the USB 3.0 header is missing. Supposed the USB 3.0 header has 19 pins and i calculated mine is 18 pins only and this is the 1st time i am using this header. So now i would like to know how long does the RMA takes? Will ASUS change a new mobo for me or repair the unit for me?

Are you sure that there are only 18 pins? It is normal for the board to have one "missing pin" for the USB 3.0 header. If there is more than one missing, then send it for warranty.

Anyway, RMA usually takes about a week to a month for motherboards. If you're unlucky though it could take more than a month.

. I'm not sure if they will return you a repaired or new board. If they don't have anymore Sabertooth P67 boards, then they'll most likely repair it for you then if possible. Otherwise if there is a new board, then they could possibly return you a new unit, or even better, a better board if they can't fix it and do not have anymore Sabertooth P67s.

that's really sux...so you get a new mobo instead of waiting?

normally take about a month.When sometimes it come back really fast, within 1 week.If u want fast , direct go to their service center at lowyat plaza.

Oh i see...i guess i need to have Plan B which is get a new mobo instead of waiting...

go search Asus Malaysia facebook page and ask them there .. sure there will help u and provide more details

Hi, i send Asus z97-a mobo bck to retailer called startec at lowyat because of bend pin cpu socket on 22/10/ 2015, they charge me RM 50 service charges but after they find out the faulty come from misused and not manufacture defect they claim warranty already void n they ask to add another RM50 and total all RM100.Just curious they call me today 26/10/2015 to collect my mobo, they say is one to one exchange.What is mean? I got new,repair with same mobo i send or repair mobo from other user? Because the retailer mentioned they need post the mobo to taiwan...please help me on this curiousity...hee

Normally major distributor got buffer stock given by manufacturer. This is to give those customers for warranty purpose. If you wait for the distributor to send back to Taiwan to repair, you will have to wait till the cow jumps over the moon. RM100 to repair processor socket is normal price.

So to your question, it might be a new board or a refurbished board. Definitely not your old repaired board if only few days is what your retailer took to give you a replacement unit.
