Just back from there - 4 days 3 nights (13th-16th)
Summary :
1. Wira rental total RM180 (rented for 74 hrs), pickup and drop off at airport, pump RM50 petrol (more than enough)
2. Check in at Malibest (RM170 per night) deluxe superior (2 Queen size bed), nice view but no water heater the whole stay after complain
3. Shopping along Pantai Cenang and Kuah Town (surprisingly the cheapest is the Zon for Hoegarden RM3.70, Glenfiddich at Coco valley Cenang RM85) Plus point is the Zon accept Amex
4. Kuah Town more variety of chocs and liquor but slightly pricey (not much)
5. Island hopping book from AB Motel RM25. No clear direction from boat operator what time to gather back at Pulau Dayang Bunting. Slightly late when back. Need 10 minutes to walk in the lake.
6. Black sand beach badly maintain
7. Oriental village not bad, a lot of things to see, took cable car up (RM25), sky bridge was close. Once reach up, it rain but quite cooling.
8. Makam mahsuri RM5 per pax, nothing much to see
Food :
1. Red Tomato (opposite Underwater world) - egg benedict disappointment, their own special (potato mix cheese thingy) not bad
2. Malay stall opposite Saga beside some lorong - serve very sweet and large coconut
3. Opposite Saga at Kuah Town some seafood restaurant - no people inside but surprisingly very fresh and tasty seafood (forgot name)
4. Sawadee Thai restaurant - salty fish kai lan not bad, tom yam so so only, nasi goreng pineapple not bad too
5. Breakfast Bar - so so
6. Wan Thai - recommended
7. Teo Seafood, Kuah - again so so only (ran out of crab when we went there)
8. Rasa, Cenang - nice ikan panggang but slightly expensive, cannot find Haji Jailani hence settle for this
9. Orkid Ria, Cenang - highly recommended, one of the best we had there. Should be very expensive but didn't pay for it.
It was raining in the morning for the first 2 days, subsequently sunny bright day, except for some light shower during evening time on 3rd day
