Hi guys..
I going Langkawi coming mid-July..
Currently looking for hotelZzzz...
below are my options:
1) Bayview
2) Favehotel
3) Best Star
Which one better? or any other hotel to recommend??
Budget up to around RM200.

Other than that, about car renting service.
What the average price?? <rm100 can get what kind of car?
my trip 4 days 3 night.. normally how much you spent for only car??

Of your 3 options - I'd probably bet on Fave over Best Star. Won't consider Kuah as it's town - not a beach. Have stayed in Casa Fina in Cenang, which was excellent (10 minute walk down to busier part of Cenang). Also within budget.

Car rental - In November 2011 I got an automatic persona for RM90 for 24 hours. Had asked around earlier, Vivas should go for around 70-80. That should give you a gauge, though still depends on negotiating skill. Take note on self drive permits and insurance for rental cars. Read this blog for bit of info http://goo.gl/1mTgs.

A day or 2 with a car exploring the other parts and beaches of Langkawi should be more than enough. Rest of the time spend lazing away relaxing on Cenang.

Guys, anybody got experience/opinions on buying perfume in langkawi? I'd expect Kuah to be better off in terms of choice and pricing, but am quite noob with perfumes and their prices. Can anyone share whether worth buying perfumes in Langkawi? Travelling there late November.

Just came back from Langkawi. No worth buying perfume there. Price is cheaper by rm40 to rm 60 depending on brand. Better bought from place like Hong Kong. smile.gif

Thanks bros. Good to know. What about if we compare the perfume prices from Langkawi to the airport? Anyone have any feedback? It has been mentioned to me that our KLIA perfume duty free prices aren't very good, especially when compared to duty free stores in other countries, ie: HK. How true that statement is, I have no clue. Any well-travelled bros have any feedback on that? Thanks in advance!
