QUOTE(weichen666 @ Aug 13 2012, 06:18 PM) Should i book through online for rooms or i will just walk in the hotel better? Any idea? If you find a good price online on a particular date, try and give a call or email the hotel directly and see if they have some kind of promotion going on as well, the deals might be coinciding with the hotels promotion and some times hotels give a better rate. If the hotel rate is cheaper and not much hassle, then might as well deal directly.

I'm surprised still can find JW Green Label in Langkawi by some poster here. This line has been discontinued production at the end of 2011.
Last version of Green Label was the 180 cask Green label, which was limited in production and slightly more expensive.
I can't find any more Green Labels in airports in SG, Thailand and Malaysia.

QUOTE(topearn @ Feb 11 2014, 03:28 PM) All manner of hotels to suit all budgets.... can get RM80 per room for a 3* hotel like Hotel Bahagia in Kuah town... 2 single bed so no issue to sleep 3, if couple with kid. Some more with breakfast thrown-in. Was looking for more nearer to Cenang beach. Stayed in Meritus before but that was a few years back. Was hoping to find a nice hotel with a kid friendly pool. Not necessary in front of the beach.

QUOTE(timetolaugh @ May 3 2014, 11:13 AM) going langkawi this jun . anyone try before late check in? is it need to contact the hotel to notice that i will be late for check in ? Yes, best to call them to inform that you are checking in late and not to sell your room to someone else. Sometimes hotels when fully book, they will entertain walk-in customers if the people who book does not turn up after a certain period. Best is to call the hotel, inform them you will be checking in late and hold the room for you. So they know that the room will be occupied for the night and won't sell it.

Going Langkawi on 1st week of October.
Gonna need some suggestion for places to eat at Cenang for a group of 12. Only place I can think of is Orkid Ria.
Wondering also if the rental companies have large MPVs for rent. Thinking of getting one large vehicle instead of 3 cars.
