Yes i plan do the walking and sightseeing in first 3 days. Last day just stay in hotel relax.
Will stay in cenang area for first 2 nites.
I also think Andaman better but my waifu like hotel buffet breakfast.... If add breakfast in Andaman will over budget >.<

i plan to go ed of this year on Friday night arrive there and going back to kl on Sunday night. I also plan to stay at Pantai Chenang area. So i need anyboby plz recommend me any good hotel for me (pantai chenang area).

Hi guys, I'm going to Langkawi on 25 Jan 2013 for only ONE day. I really appreciate if you guys could recommend a place for me and my family to stay. We only intend to relax by the beach and maybe doing a bit of duty free shopping. So the requirements are as follow:
1. The place of accommodation MUST be by the beach.
    (one of the best beach) / near airport
    Price for one night around RM500-600
2. Quite near to duty free shops. (chocolates, cigarettes and cooking wares)

Please recommend.....

Hey guys.  I might with visiting langkawi with a bunch of friends. HHave anyone have any idea where to rent cars like BMW or Audi with a good rate? And where do have a nice place to drink beers like corona kKilkenny Stella?

Wanna get some personal opinion from you guys on the resorts if anyone has any verdict. I'm aware that there's loads of resort reviews available in the internet but they ain't what I was looking for.

My main target is to go to one of the resort in Langkawi, and relax. Prefer the ones with a private beach and good food. So why didn't I go with the internet reviews? Coz they keep talking about the spa spa spa and swimming pool. Eventhough my budget is slightly on the high side, I don't want to pay for service which I don't use. Just want a nice isolated area with no frills.

Currently, the one I have in mind is Holiday Villa. Just because of the restaurants ...

No idea whether it's good or bad. Never even been to Langkawi before ... yet. Just that from the pictures, they have more restaurants inside the resort. Yeah .... I shouldn't judge by pictures.

Hmm ... budget ... lemme think. I would reckon between RM400 to RM500 a night. But subjective. I do know that the luxury ones are around RM800. Problem is, I don't dig those as the premium is all on the spa and herbal thingy.

Are there any sports car rentals in Langkawi? I'm looking to rent mid-range types, not supercar.

last couple week see sultan selangor was stay there..that only place when he came to langkawi..
