I am playing protoss, and I am playing random 2v2 quick match. And of course, the game didn't went smooth at all. I have a lot of trouble against certain combinations. That is why I need you guys suggestion and help. If I am facing 2 terrans, 2 zergs or 2 protosses, what kind of opener should I go? I know that there isn't an opener that rules all over, but at least I want to know some basic reactions that I can do, so that I won't get raped so hard. Yeah, I am indecisive, and that is why I always screwed up when it comes to build order.

ok open standard: 9 pylon, 12 gate, 15 gas, 16 pylons... scout after that 9 pylon... then from there u would be able to react...
every strategy u go would depend on ur teammate actually >.< how can he support the builds u are doing (i like fast expand builds) or u supporting his builds (like getting sentries to keep his MM alive vs blings)... i dun play random teamgames for tat reason lol...

I usually play team games at a diamond/plat level.
Usually when I play toss (random) for 2v2, i either open 4 gate or 3 gate robo. Its good for defending an early timing attack or to do a timing attack of my own.

When I play 2v2, I play super aggressive with my Zerg, putting early pressure and try to contain them and get map control for as long as possible with lings or roaches, then let my teammate get his units and whatnot up.. Getting units for map control doesn't have to be 10 pool or that sort, just early enough units to hold the xel naga towers and maybe some harassing or runby..

Thanks for your replies. If I am teaming with a zerg player, and he want to go for roach, what kind of armies composition I need to get as Protoss? Apparently, my opponent, zerg absolutely have no problem destroying roach and stalker combination.

If your teammate goes Roach heavy, prioritize making Zealots as meat shields. If your teammate is a Toss, both you can just go 4 gate and crush shit If your teammate is Terran, well, tell him to go marine-tank and support his units from there.

Using zerglings give you more mobility and map control as well as always giving the looming threat of a runby, causing the opponent to go out of their way and get a lot of defensive structures or units..
