I need your advise on my situation with Streamyx service.

The story....

I upgraded from 1Mbps to 4Mbps Combo this April 2008. Experienced "as expected hiccup" whereby my service down for few days, even phone line down for few days and finally service is up for one day and the line is back to 1Mbps again for more than 2 months.

After some complains to Kedai Telekom, MCMC, countless call to 100, the service is up again for about three months.

However, starting today, I notice the line is again set to 1.5Mbps on the modem. I believe the line condition is a lot more better compare to previous 1Mbps as it is using IPDSLAM and no issue with line quality(confirm by Streamyx technician and the following modem status:

Downstream Rate: 1534 Kbps
Upstream Rate: 508 Kbps
Downstream Margin: 31 db
Upstream Margin: 15 db
Downstream Line Attenuation: 9
Upstream Line Attenuation: 2
Downstream Transmit Power: 13
Upstream Transmit Power: 12
LOS Errors: 0

I just wondering has any of 4Mbps user experiencing the same issue which starting today ? When I call up 100, they commented today KL is having outage. However I don't seem to have problem with the internet access, except the speed is back to 1Mbps insted of 4Mbps. Obviously I don't want to spend my hardearned money on 4Mbps package yet Streamyx silently providing 1 Mbps link.
