why do so many players want to play at US server? i thought it will be lag more than ASIA server @@

1. RMAH
2. latency there will be like 100ms differ between 2 server, which is like 0.1 sec differ. i'll say this is acceptable
3. commitee, US commitee are majority english speaking and more interactive comparing to Asia commitee, relatively.

its debateable that with current D3 chat system and AH system, players hardly need/can communicate with each others. i will wan to talk to players hence i go for US server

If LYN players wanna group up and need voice chat (eg: Ventrilo),
I was offered free Vent usage by Moogle's site (Diablo Expression) desginer.
We can probably hop on there and get into a room with the group to "speak" instead of typing.

Can suggest ideas/alternatives also guys?

I already join in there with moogle. currently there are few ppl in there as maybe D3 has not started yet. but so far the ppl inside there are very friendly n fun to play with 

and I managed to learn 1 or 2 Swedish words. XD

if i wanna play at US server, during creation of battle net account i must choose US as country of residence?

We, Malaysians/Singaporeans/Australians, can connect to the different REGIONAL Server to play.

REGIONAL Server = Asia, Europe, US.

All server has your own character list so when you play on 1 your progress is only saved on the server.
Other server won't have that character.

So, if you feel like playing on ASIA, you can.
Then, if you feel like switching to Europe server, you can BUT you will need to start a new char.

Example:
on midnite 15/05/2012
you start play on Asia server - reach Level 30 Wizard
Then Europe server go live, you want to jump to Europe server.
The Europe server character list should be empty.
Create level 1 Barbarian - start over again and reach lv 25 Barbarian.

You can still go back to Asia.
Your Asia Lv 30 Wizard will be there and you can continue.


EDIT:
The only thing which can be limiting you is the access to RMAH.
If you are bound to say US Region RMAH, when you play on Europe server, you cannot use RMAH there.
NOTE: Gold AH is still open to you.

This would still be depending on the final update by Blizzard how they want to handle it (RMAH).
