When installing custom rom put your installation files in your SD.. its better So no need to take out your external card. Also in terms of apps, you can download titanium backup which you can later restore the apps. But just reinstall apps, not the data..

SMS all i think got some apps in the market.. Contacts just sync to google. Pics usually if you do full wipe also it will still be saved inside the internal  But to be safe can always do a backup to your pc~

wondering should i root my galaxy note after i buy later ><" any benefit? hmmm previous i am using a apple produce jailbreak it once i get the phone >.< dunno about andriod ... any advice from sifu here? and is it very hard to root the phone ?

lol like everyone buying iphone than jailbreak it ? not about money is about convenient ma ^^~ so after rooting the phone is like jailbreaking the phone than i dont mind rooting it xD cause it makes the phone much more things to play with xD

now 506mb/800mb, usually can go up as high as 600mb/200mb. is that normal?

I think most service providers don't cut off your internet nor charge you extra if you reached your limit, they just slow down the speed.
