Guys, last week I bought a center pulley from r/c tech forum. The problem is (i just noticed when trying to swap it in) is that is is not for my car (R31), but looks like this

now I'm waiting for the seller reply before making a report. sweat.gif

Added on July 5, 2012, 3:53 pmI'm pretty sure its not for OTA R31. Correct me if I'm wrong...

Seller replied, turns out I need this http://www.myrcstation.com/webshaper/store...roductItem=6042 sweat.gif I thought its plug n play...

Not sure yet. still processing

Can't wait, since using lighter battery does makes drifting easier. (i tried using a 1800mah instead of the usual 5200mah nimh).

Added on July 9, 2012, 3:28 pmBTW, this lipo comes with what type of connector? Some mods need to be done right since mine is the Tamiya style (inm).

It comes with a 4mm bullet connector. You must solder your own deans.
*
Do you have extra dean connector? Sell it to me if got stock... nod.gif

Is it normal to find that its easier to drift in on direction, let say clockwise compared to counter-clockwise? I've swap the setting and its still the same.

bros, i havent got my drift car yet but i plan to get one (maybe not so soon) to join my friend.....

the problem is, i wanna know what's the different between shaft type drift car and belt type drift car, meaning the drive shaft in the centre...

i saw this yokomo type c which is driven by shaft and the vantex 416...
what the diff though....
*
Afaik, both got pros and cons. But the main pros for belt imo is the ease to mod the ratio.

I got clone ota-r31 which is designed for drift.

any critical difference? in terms of modifications and also drifting?
axle : more smooth drift?
belt : more smooth drift?

sorry ah noob on this.....
*
I'm noob also...this is my 1st car. So cannot compared between axle and belt. Just some info from the net said that axle is more durable but belt easier to mod and less torque steer (car going left/right when full throttle from standstill). But IMO, its depend on the driver, some prefer axle, some belt.

Mod the ratio is by changing the pulley to different sizes to achieve different power distribution (normal is 50-50) so that the rear get more power than front, which is harder to control but makes it more fun and realistic.

Its hard to imitate real car. Although the size is scaled down, the weight is not.

buggy tered mana ??  tongue.gif

Just like suggested by eric, OTA R31 (because I got one, albeit its a clone).

Get the clone for around rm350 to see whether drifting is for you. But don't use high capacity battery (long play time will burn the esc) and change to brushless (all parts will start breaking one by one).
