QUOTE(ayiesz @ Jun 1 2012, 10:40 PM) i think that carpet u can get in shop, but dunno how u're going to stick it on your surface. any flat surface will do la. the Japs play only on cement or their road hehe. Stick can use stapler gun because the floor is plywood. Japs road surface is smooth... unlike ours with soo much pimples. BTW, eagle parts is consider good or not? A bit cheaper than ori Street Jam and got lot more option especially for alloy parts. Looks nice. p/s: main pn xpandai lagi tp dh start nk mekap keter...

QUOTE(ayiesz @ Jun 1 2012, 11:23 PM) what item u're comparing? for me, anything with moving parts, i'll go for original manufacturer. if it's just alloy part, eagle racing is good enough. got one friend using eagle racing steering, mod for his fijon, very satisfied i can say. My front one way and rear solid axle is eagle. Want to use ori but need to order and wait...

QUOTE(david6629 @ Jun 8 2012, 03:53 PM) HI there...I from Ampang..I have few friends are interest to RC drifting.. Any intro cars model for beginner ?(dont so expensive la ) Any recommend shop ? I found 1 at ampang waterfront.. vantex 416 and R31 is rm 380 ..how is tat shop reputation ? anyone been there b4? I'm also new (bought ota r31 clone, rm350 rtr lst 2 week) and as advised by ayiez, better get better electronics since the standard one us crap. 1st day receiver burn, the next day esc burn. Buying higher capacity battery with fast charger is really recommend. However imo, better skip the brushless for now since its will caused other mechanical part to fail because the high torque (in my case front diff/axle and rear axle). But that maybe cause by my unskilled/rough style.

QUOTE(ayiesz @ Jun 16 2012, 10:07 AM) front UJ is 48mm, rear can use 51mm if you're free at night tonite, go to MRC puchong, ask for fijon UJ. as good if not better than eagle racing. look for Wong there... not sure if have stock, but worth a shot. eh wait you're not in klang valley rite? then take the eagle racing. my advice, get a rim with at least 5mm offset. better if can get 9mm offset. pair with 200mm body. clone kit have tendency to rattle a lot on the front wheel, UJ easier to broke. just from my experience. without offset the rim very close to your c-hub when turning and sometimes it brush each other The eagle racing (http://www.myrcstation.com/webshaper/store/viewProd.asp?pkProductItem=6182) is 51mm. Should be ok right?

QUOTE(ayiesz @ Jun 16 2012, 10:26 AM) if rear then can take 51mm. front i'm afraid it will be too tight, that is if it can fit it. try to find fijon Here not much choice..actually. don't know whether got stock or not. Furthermore, R31 is new thus most people use 416 which cause shop didn't keep parts for R31. Added on June 16, 2012, 11:55 amAnd its for the front Added on June 16, 2012, 1:44 pmJust done some checking, the 'drive pulley' (i think whats it called) teeth kinda worn out. Should be replaced with this right (the same 18T). Want to order as spares since i read on the net the standard one will definitely breaks after some time. http://www.myrcstation.com/webshaper/store...roductItem=6386Sorry for too many question...i'm a newbie. I just ordered the 'driving pulley change ratio', got 8 different size pulley. Just want to play around with the ratio before deciding which size to buy for the aluminium type.
The uj standard is 48mm. But I ordered the eagle racing (48.5mm) which is better for cs (read from the web).
