hye there ...it was late and im wondering ... i , in my life, always get confused...between, freelance and entrepreneurs (businessman) lets say, in my situation now,

i set up (register wiff goverment) a legal multimedia company wiff a fren of mine sumwhere 3 years ago...n'ways we dun have a company bank account...coz we dun have 2k at that time which is a requirement for anybank...so everytime a client pays, they pay to a personal account...it could be my name or my frens name....

client was'nt scared to pay upfront sumtimes coz we already have a mutual trust....they pay either my name on da cheque or my frens name...but when we deal, we always used our company letterhead coz to us, we do have a legal company...

n'ways...heres where the confusion comez in...am i a freelance for not being attach to any other company but my own or?..am i a businessman but dont even have a proper bank company bank account?..which is which?

sum b'arch refer me to my client as a freelancer and i got snaped..but sumtimes i feel like a freelancer coz i do my werk @ my room and when i got client meeting,presentation,need to wear slacks n leather shoes i felt like a businessman pulak..

or it doesnt matter...sum client especially goverment they need to pay through company account for above rm10k projects

or how the f*** should i feel now? mental dilemma

i guess i should be almost in the same shoes as you.. i work from home but i also meet clients..

you're a freelancer if you're a one man show and your business doesn't bring in the amount of revenue equivalent to a company..

i think as the business grows into a bigger revenue gaining business, you're maturing into an entreprenuer..

the biggest difference between a freelancer and an entreprenuer to me is that one has the better ability of doing and making a business work. oh yeah, a freelancer also is ever involved in the work where as the entreprenuer is looking for ways to be financially free.

your business is a company if it is registered, so you are the director/entreprenuer/what ever your call it

having a registered office or current bank accout is another matter. find an introducer to open a bank account under your company's name. good luck

don't get what you mean there of an introducer..
