U have to keep in mind that Waze is data dependent. If you dont have 3G coverage Waze is completely useless. Papago has preloaded maps. Just need GPS signal for navigation. Since Waze is free I use either Waze or Papago depending on 3G coverage.

QUOTE(DarkNite @ Apr 24 2012, 06:10 PM) data dependent? How much data it consume or rate of consumption per minute? I am not sure but shouldnt be much different from google maps on your phone. You should be more concerned on 3G coverage. Midway through ur navigation if you lose ur connection the map wont load and you might get lost.

Just too bad Garmin dun have one for iOS in Malaysia. Last time Garmin Mobile XT in Nokia 5800XM was the best! Its map also well supported/updated by mfm till to day!

When the traffic getting slow, I see some cartoon pop out along the road. No idea what is it, I touch on it. And a window pop out state traffic jam, report by who at what time, etc. I thought cool.

Obviously without Internet connection, your Waze is not going to report any traffic condition, etc. it will just behave like a standalone GPS unit
