U have to keep in mind that Waze is data dependent. If you dont have 3G coverage Waze is completely useless. Papago has preloaded maps. Just need GPS signal for navigation. Since Waze is free I use either Waze or Papago depending on 3G coverage.

I am not sure but shouldnt be much different from google maps on your phone. You should be more concerned on 3G coverage. Midway through ur navigation if you lose ur connection the map wont load and you might get lost.

I just try it out from my office back to home using waze. The map showing all the way my car moving. It work without 3G. Cause I haven't put in the sim card yet.

I see Papago for iPad till ver m7 only.

Pretty confirm. I can see the map got orange highlight heavy traffic and some car member report of traffic.

I travel from bdr Sunway using LDP to Puchong. Can you tell me the whole surround place got wifi?

I thought this waze is using gps to move around. So I try it out see it work or not. It confirm run on gps.

I will try again tomorrow morning start from my home.

have u already use waze and go back home before? because i think its store and cache the map that u have downloaded and use it before this.
that waze only around 20MB for the file installation, so i dont think it have the preloaded map. and 1 thing, normally gps with preloaded map came depend on ur region, like asia, singore + malaysia, UK and etc.. well, i dont think waze have that.

any1 use sygic before? the UI smoothness much much better than papago. with got few UI configurations and etc.
but im not sure about the maps. i read somewhere it use tomtom maps but im not sure. even tomtom map is not good enough compare with papago on mallfreemap.

When the traffic getting slow, I see some cartoon pop out along the road. No idea what is it, I touch on it. And a window pop out state traffic jam, report by who at what time, etc. I thought cool.

Obviously without Internet connection, your Waze is not going to report any traffic condition, etc. it will just behave like a standalone GPS unit

i got red icon top left and top status "Searching network"
when navigate "Error calculate route"...
i think yur telco got free 3g or promo some sort....

Your iPad is wifi only version or 4g?
