I got mine 2 days back. Tinted it with agard 595 and change sport rims today at rawang.

But I found mine doesn't have autolock. Anyone can show me how to do the trick for autolock? Cos I tried the trick in forum but still fail.

Further, I notice a terrible road/tyre noise when driving. Anyway to cure this issue?

Added on May 24, 2012, 2:11 amBtw, is there any accessories shop for this car? I am looking for rear diffuser, cos from behind it looks not nice at all. And also I'm looking for visor for all 4 doors.

For the tyre noise I mentioned earlier, did anyone notice the same too? Can I do some sound dampering or other stuff? Anyone can recommend me the place and price also?

here;s my short trip to Bentong (Pahang) yesterday.

after the genting toll (RM5), you will need climb a bit of slope. The car runs very smooth without any revving sound if you can maintained the speed but as the slope getting stepper, the engine sound roar more loudly and that time you can see your FC from eg. 22.2km/l goes down 22km/l...to 19.9.. 19.8.. 19.6... till 19.00 (mine experience)...do not use fast lane or try to be hero and cut car infront cuz as you want to rev your car to cut the car infront, you will find it very hard and almost unreachable.

as finished the slope and start going downhill after pass thru the tunnel, shift the car to B and it will drag the gear 60++ and goes all the way down, that is the first time i saw my hybrid battery was FULLY CHARGE (full bars) and the FC will increase from 19km/l back to 23

It was fun going down slope cuz the B mode can safe your car from cruising even thou you press hard on the brake.

Uphill was certainly no a fun thing for Prius C as the feeling is that your car is stopped there and see a lot of cars pass you thru very easily...hahaha
*
Bro, not that bad for uphill. Today I drive from penang to kl, pass by ipoh, practically not much car able to overtake me. And further, I tested the cruise control. I set it for 120 uphill, and the things just works its way up to 120 for uphill drive. Even its roaring, but its soft.

I read somewhere that they mentioned tire pressure and type (width or whatever it was) could contribute to that. Some people added dampening materials to the floor/door or went as far as changing to a diff tire or pressure. Did you change tire too? What's your tire pressure?
*
I change to toyo drb 195/55/15. After change to wider tyre, its much more quiet. But I try to reduce it to "silent". Hehehe.

For autolock, anyone check wit service centre? Cos I feel very uncomfortable cos it very much inconvenience. Who going to bising at umw? Hahaha. Ask all members go strike. Hahaha

haha.. but i think we still can lock it manually as driver right.

Wow.. does that effect the turning radius as wider tyre will result to wider turning radius.
*
Bro, the turning radius affected just a lil bit. But the grip is marvellous. Cos with stock tyre, I feel like my car is flying off and always sway to left or right even I'm on 130kmh taking a curve. But wit this tyre, it solidly grip the tarmac and I can even hit 150 on corners. Further, tyre noise reduce drastically.

Now I'm thinking to change hid to my headlamp. Any idea whether is it advisable? Cos dunno whether will it void the warranty of the main battery or other stuff

No idea about the warranty side of things, but here's a nice thread about changing to hid & led lights.
*
Thanks a lot bro. I wanted to change but, dunno how about the warranty. If warranty okay then I don't mind change HID to main lamp and fog lamp too!. Then looks better.

Its illegal to change to HID base on new traffic law.  Only HID from original manufacturer are allow on the vehicle.  Mod HID will cause unnecessary glare to other traffic users and can be dangerous.
*
But we have the original projector. Still glare too?

Gotta check it out. Cos the strap hanging now. Its alil bit irritating. But on the other hand makes me feels like my car is a sport car. Something like in need of real safety like this car is fkin fast and imminent safety is required when u on board. Hahaha

I'm looking for door visor for this car. Any idea?

Yeah door visor is another one on my list too! The only place I see to get them is online/foreign like Japan or priuschat accessory shop but kinda expensive I bet plus you gotta install yourself if you order. Can't wait for the local side to hurry up with addons/accessories.
*
Done it bro. Thanks a lot for the tips.

That 1 I gonna wait la bro. No money to spend like that to online purchase. Just the shipping cost will make it double the price d. I'm looking and see whether got rear diffuser also. Cos the back of this car is really ugly due to the rear bumper quite tall. Need a rear diffuser for it. The last 1 in my list is HID. Need to check with toyota service centre. Scared they tell me I tamper this and that then will void my main battery or other electrical stuff warranty.

Hi All Prius C owne,

I have booked a honda city, and today went for test drive Prius C, i have changed my mind to buy Prius C, i need your advice on Prius C, thanks..
*
I'm single. Living alone in a condo in KL. Thus I feel very practical in term of space, power, and especially fuel consumption. The space is more than enough for your daily usage inclusive of mega shopping. The power, I able to make 150 on highway from penang to KL. The torque for this car is pretty high, to me its depend on ur right feet. Whether u r willing to press on pedal or not. If u r willing to do so, then vios pick up has no match with this car. Engine is silent. The best part is when u r cruising in carpark or the street, people be watching at u cos they get shock when a car cruising without any sound. There is once an uncle who drove a brand new bmw 5 series approach me while I'm in a shell petrol station in bangsar and ask me why ur car has no sound when u r driving into the station. And they get a shock from my answer when I tell them I can make min 600km for rm60 pertrol. Haha. After our conversation, he said he gonna get one too for city use. Hahaha.

Seems like its a trend to flash each other since our bro hunting did. Is there anyway for us to identified the member in this club when we meet each other on the road? Ie: rear windscreen sticker or something? Its good to know u guys here and make more friends by buying this car. Soon everytime we see prius c will flash at each and another. Haha. Become a trend absolutely for prius c. Btw, my no is PJR 108. U guys are utmost welcome to flash me but don't disturb me la if see my car parking around. Hahaha. Scared later tyre punctured. Lol

Haha.. Yup.. Actually my SA got offer me orange colour one week after i book but after watching review on Prius C. Think i like the blue metalic more. As i was mention during the drive there is additional colour scheme on top our brochure that time. Think there is no blue colour yet on the road though. Actually i prefer the yellow as per toyota aqua in japan. Seem very special. ^^
Haha yup waiting is pain. I even went test drive elantra, forte and Peugeot 408. Haha. even the space is more but i stick to prius c. As i pay govt lesser money and i get a 100% made in japan car . Even the AVN sucks though and i took the option.
Haha. Wonder if we want to make a logo or sticker for prius c club in lyn or in malaysia. Hehe Want to start one ?
Yup.. i saw alot of prius c on road and very nice leh.. haha. Now make me regret taking blue and should opt for orange instead.

Added on May 27, 2012, 8:17 amOh ya. anyone would like a prius c owner/fan club in fb ? hehe. and want to do a logo for our group ? Can post in here if you want to ^^

Added on May 27, 2012, 8:40 amuser posted image

Hi how u all think of this signature ? Or got any good IT or creative guy or girl with great ideas to make our signature and banner for our group. ^^
*
Signature its pretty. But perhaps we should rephrase the wording "LYN Prius C Owner's Club" (remove "fan") that standard prius c design emblem is beautiful and its "worldwide" logo. Hahaha. Perhaps mayb u can add green colour globe also to represent "go green" hahaha. We should put our car numbering. Either we follow the number according to sequence of owner's list in the first page of this forum or we have our car registration number to it.

Anymore idea?

Added on May 27, 2012, 9:43 amIf we were to use the number according to the owner list of this forum, mayb we can use "PC". So as example mine is "PC-9". But it sounds like "police constable". Hahaha. Low rank. Or we have our car registration no?

Or we have that original emblem design + members number at the back which I think the logo won't be too large with lots of wording or big sticker on our rear windscreen because logo meant to be nice n simple? (Ie: Prius C 9) (the prius c is the silver curvy writing design same like the original prius c emblem design by our bro, Timeonce)

Idea and suggestion? Or we don't have it at all?
