I bought a house in Klang, when my house begin to renovate, came some indian guys from a group of black society asking for protection money around 1K. But my contractor have experience in this, so he try to negotiate. If I make a police report what can they do, want to ask them do work also have to pay them first right. Most of the time have to pay those black society just because we do not want them to kacau the workers or break the windows during at night.

This is most common thing in Klang area. Anyone had this experience before, can share it here.

first of all, lodge a police report...
in the meantime, pay them...

after police caught them... ur problem solved...

never had this experience before...

I am also renovate one shop lot in Klang, and black gang come over and ask for "safety money", WTF. But I didn't give.
In Klang each area sure have their own society, just talk to that area and settle it if you dare.

If klang police is efficient enough, I sure report already. Klang police is black and white, if you have connection sure can kau tim wan.

I thought that was long gone when we used to have chinese secret society. The chinese gang only went after the chinese and didnt disturb other races. It was gone thanks to the police. Now our police more like gang. the immigrants are so afraid of them whether legal or otherwise.

tell them to get the f*** out... why kacau kacau?

My tactic is pay them initial 300, then monthly 200. If anything happen then no need to pay. And ask your contractor to deal with them n made sure pay the correct gang.

Make a report and pay the sarjen. Ain't this more effective?

Where is your place? I also bought a house in Klang and never have this issue of extortion.

What if you have paid to one gang, and another gang come to ask money??

interior or exterior renovation? or they doesn't care at all?

ur house is gated & guarded concept?

It's not a gated or guarded area. Normal terrace house area, mostly chinese community in my area.

Is a new housing area or old housing area? If is new, than you may want to highlight to the developer lol. If is old area, guess those are Local gang which guess the police also can't do much (hahaha)

Like that also can. I'd lodge a police report HOPEFULLY to rectify the problem (got to do your part)..and I'll get the heck out of the neighborhood. This sucks. No peace at all.
