Hi guys,

Just drop by here to share my experience about Kef...
I own a pair of legendary Kef LS50 for around a year, and I love her so much!!
Such small speakers which will give almost perfect for all aspect you are demanding for audiophile, especially the tweeter give you a crystal clear vocal and instrument music.
So far one cons i found is the sensitivity (<90db) is a little lower compared to other competitors, and cause it need a higher power/current delivery amp to achieve her optimum performance.
By the way my LS50 is paired with Marantz CD6005 + Rotel RA-01 amp (self modded antique). brows.gif
(still working hard to save money to get a better amp for LS50 tongue.gif )

I tried to hook up the LS50 with my Onkyo TX-NR646 (ATMOS/DTS-X) 7.2 receiver recently.
My impression after I done the above setup is "LS50 not designed for home theater, it is for audiophile". tongue.gif
No doubt the high performance tweeter will give you clear dialog in movie or music in concert, but it is lacking of punchy bass like floor standing speakers.

Besides, I have chances to try out Q900 set many times at my friend's shop.
Q900 is at around 8k price tag, with only 2 real working drivers + 2 passive (unconnected and no coil) drivers.
My opinions for Q900 is over price, non attractive cabinet design, very bulky, slower tone response.
There are many cheaper, better looking, faster tone response floor stander out there in market.
