Hi guys! I've just started playing FS2004 on my lappie using keyboard. Seriously, FS2004 is fun but I seem to have difficulty controlling the plane. The problem is, I'm using a keyboard and I don't have a numpad:cry:. Then I use the FN key to activate those "num pad" keys. But when I use the key "5", it doesn't seem to level the plane back. Sorry for a noob question because I've just started playing...

QUOTE(swhung @ May 20 2006, 01:52 AM) key 5 is only used to level left and right.... that means if u wanna turn 10 degrees, u press key 5, the plane will stay at a turn of 10 degrees.... Oh... I see... I'm getting better in controlling a plane after some practice. key 5 is not to hold the positiong of the head and the tail.... to do that, u can use autopilot, press Z (only for certain aircrafts)... but when u press Z, the autopilot system automatically return ur right or left degree turn to 0, means to stabilize the plane... edit: and yeah, i use keyboard to play... after like months of practice, it works fine for me |

QUOTE(swhung @ May 20 2006, 06:25 PM) helicopter is quite hard... but practice makes perfect... When I fly a helicopter, I take off straight up... Then I tried to move the plane. Before I can do anything, the helicopter sways left and right vigorously. Even if I don't touch the controls, it will soon or later turn uncontrollable.for helicopter, dont pull the nose up or pull down the tail too much.... just make small changes.... |

QUOTE(swhung @ May 20 2006, 06:44 PM) just press F4 to set full throttle and the heli will go up... The name of it is something Beta. It takes off easily, but once it's up the ground, it sways left and right like crazy. Is there something that I have to set before take off?and it will actually move forward itself... and yeah, dont press and hold the keys, just tap it once or twice.... which helicopter ur using? |

QUOTE(prelude23 @ Sep 10 2006, 12:34 AM) i've just downloaded FS 2004 from bitcomet... anyone know how 2 install it? the problem is... as u know, i downloaded it... but when i setup the 'disc one' it run smoothly... but until disc two the setup ask me 'insert my disc 2'....i downloaded it so i dun have disc 2 or 3 or 4...wat should i do? this is my folder though...plz help me... i'm really desperate to play it but no money buy ori... If I've not mistaken, the file that you downloaded has 4 .iso files. Use daemon tools and mount the first disc's iso. And when it asks for the second disc, unmount the first one and mount the second iso using daemon tools and so on. Since it's a pirated version, I believe there is a crack file in disc 4 iso. The files that you downloaded should have 4 CD images files. If not, it won't work. That's how I think it should work. Hopefully both of us will not get warned for warez discussion. |

Does it mean we have to keep on holding to the middle button for the whole time when we need the mousetoyoke to function? I think it can be quite tiring to hold that button, isn't it?

QUOTE(kaybin @ Oct 20 2006, 08:00 PM) Yeap, we gotta hold it when we wanna make changes to bank and pitch, everytime we release, the aileron will reset to normal. Well i have no choice, all the mouse button are used up by fs2004. No. The game that I was referring to was an old game called Eurofighter Typhoon. It is nothing like FS2004. It has different gameplay and missions. You play flightgear as well? |

I feel like playing FS2004 on joystick, but I don't have one. I dislike using the keyboard.
