QUOTE(springfall @ May 7 2012, 03:22 PM) lol some reviewer here is bad mouthing the G1 You haven't used the G1, do you? I still own and use the keyboardless brother of the G1... and, well, the almost total lack of RAM makes it a really horrible experience. Using any in some way modern version of Android (read 2.0 or higher) meant it couldn't even hold the OS in the RAM, unless it was slimmed down. It'd be constantly killing and starting services because they couldn't stay in RAM at the same time. Running programs... yeah good luck. Multitasking is a very big no-no. Was it an important phone? Yes. And the hardware is well made. But what the hell were they thinking in terms of RAM? (some of the newer entry level devices feature similar CPUs, but with a lot more RAM. They are actually usable and not that sluggish).http://www.uswitch.com/mobiles/news/2012/0...android_phones/ the grand grand grand grand grand papa of all android kena bad mouth?? |
