Are you trying to challenge me?  smile.gif

BTW, yes, I am sure, I owned a Galaxy Note as well. Even my Xperia X8 can send MMS without having the data turn on (what I mean is that the phone will turn on the data just to send/receive MMS automatically, not the phone can send MMS without any data).
*
I have checked with my brother, he said no. Few other Android phones I tested also the same. Data Network MUST be enabled in order to allow MMS to work. Hence there are 2 APN settings, 1 for 3G, 1 for MMS. If extra, probably WAP and stuff, but we are not getting into that.

I still don't think they did any tweaking on this to enable MMS sending without enabling data. hmm.gif

any gif to show that? or any separate flashable zip for boot animation? included audio?
*
No audio. I think only Sammy's boot animation has audio in all Android phones, right?

Teach me how to extract the animation, I can grab it for you. biggrin.gif

Here's how it looked like:

Data is needed to send MMS, I agreed with that. But in my Xperia X8, I don't need to turn on my data manually to send MMS, I just send like a usual SMS and it automatically activate data to send the MMS. Same goes to my Galaxy Note, probably to confirm, I will try later tonight.
*
It would turn on data, send, then off back, provided that the MMS app has this feature. So far, all the MMS app I encountered, doesn't have this feature. So have to manually enable data, else the message just stuck there. Aside from that, you will not be able to receive MMS if the data activation is triggered by MMS app.

AOKP b32 was stable, except for the BT problem.

CM9 should be fine. smile.gif

Of course, it's the BEST. But, meanwhile, I'll not use it due to it's "LACK in FEATURES and CUSTOMIZATION".
*
Dont understand why other AOKP ROMs based on CM9 doesn't have this National/Domestic Roaming feature? hmm.gif

So far, I don't have the entry that state, WCDMA preferred.

Let's see how it goes. I might go back to b33 if I cannot tahan the ugly battery indicator. laugh.gif

I think AOKP M5 is a MUST. It might be based on the latest firmware.

Meanwhile, our ROMs have a drawback which the SIGNAL is not strong enough or randomly drop-off in some cases.  sad.gif
*
Isn't that baseband's issue?

Just what I needed. Rebooting phone now, as I can't send SMS right after replacing the file. Hopefully it works just fine. smile.gif

BTW, I think I saw few extra features in it. Can set vibration types as well as correct timestamp. Don't think I saw these on stock original settings.

Bro, you gonna try CM9 Nightly + lean kernel?

Come to think of it, could my BT problem caused by the lean kernel that I patched?

Anyone on stock kernel AOKP b32 can confirm that?

I dunno whether is my nexus problem or my lappy problem. At first, I connect my phone to my lappy via usb cable, by right it should be charging right? But it won't charge until I restart my phone then only it start charging. Before I restart my phone, the battery icon on top right shows charging but the percentage won't go up. Anyone encounter this problem before?
*
If you are charging from your notebook, leave the screen off. If you keep playing with it, instead of charging, it might actually drains the battery faster than charging. I noticed that right after I flashed to AOKP b32.

So, just be patient, leave the screen off and don't play with the phone for a while. I'm sure the percentage will goes up.

Then try BT first before leaning the kernel later. drool.gif

I'm reluctant to lean my kernel now. Not sure if it supported as well. Let's see how's the battery life first. No point leaning if I don't OC/UV or tweak other stuff. laugh.gif

Good news is, the beautiful curved screen remains while the bad would be cheap plastic quality? lol.

I can live with cheap plastic, cause doesn't feel that loose or cheap. Perhaps Sammy might employ their ceramic case on next Nexus, as rumoured on the S3. Very interested to find out. thumbup.gif
