QUOTE(MrAvatar @ Apr 25 2012, 12:42 AM) when i checked the Device Manager, there wrote Samsung Galaxy Nexus ADB Interface, does it mean i've installed my drivers properly? Did you open cmd and type adb devices?Edit: but both cmd and toolkit oso cant recognized my device, how come? it should show 12345ABCDE devices. If not you must have miss something. I guess usb debugging is needed when in ADB mode. QUOTE(MrAvatar @ Apr 25 2012, 10:55 AM) Did you set system path files? to enable ADB to work?Like this, this is critical step. Computer>"Right Click" - Select Properties>Advance System Settings>Environment Variables>At bottom find PATH and select edit>Scroll to the last right and add your C:/ (Your ADB path file by default for me is should be ;C:/android-sdk-windows/tools>Then select OK> then OK till all windows closed. [REMEMBER add semi column in-front.] Then only use go cmd type adb if you see bunch of helps means you have adb enabled. As you do like this, you enable fastboot as well~ This post has been edited by droid13579: Apr 25 2012, 11:26 AM |

QUOTE(MrAvatar @ Apr 25 2012, 11:35 AM) i couldnt understand wat to add in the Path, i dont know where is the android sdk stuff located in my pc lol Very simple you create a file called Android at C drive, then go to your SDK folder where you download all those adb fastboot from Google SDK you copy all of them and paste on your new Android folder at C.or is there any other way? Then at path there you scroll to the right last type like this ;C:/Android that makes it very simple. when you need ADB just cmd then type cd C:/Android then give your usual commands example adb devices to test adb success should have 12345ABCDE devices This post has been edited by droid13579: Apr 25 2012, 11:41 AM |

GNex has NFC and its built into the battery. would like to know current users whether NFC if practical for their daily usage? or do they even use it at all. I always playing Android Beam with my Nexus S friend My purpose for that question was to see whether ppl do buy extra batteries for their phones since GNex for heavy users can't even last more than a day. And there are diffferent manufacturers for the batteries..so would like some input from users here regarding battery capacity, with/without NFC, problems. QUOTE(DarkSilver @ Apr 25 2012, 02:14 PM) I think AOKP M5 is a MUST. It might be based on the latest firmware. They maybe include BT and Tether fix as well~ Since, Roman has said he wants M5 to be stable and make sure all is functioning~Meanwhile, our ROMs have a drawback which the SIGNAL is not strong enough or randomly drop-off in some cases. |

QUOTE(j.sun @ Apr 25 2012, 07:40 PM) I dunno whether is my nexus problem or my lappy problem. At first, I connect my phone to my lappy via usb cable, by right it should be charging right? But it won't charge until I restart my phone then only it start charging. Before I restart my phone, the battery icon on top right shows charging but the percentage won't go up. Anyone encounter this problem before? I make it clear, by default charging is very slow. It's like every 15~30 minutes 2~3%. The max current of the USB 2.0 port on your puter is 100mA, that's why it takes longer. This situation will improve with the USB 3.0 standard. A unit load is defined as 100 mA in USB 2.0, and was raised to 150 mA in USB 3.0. A maximum of 5 unit loads (500 mA) can be drawn from a port in USB 2.0, which was raised to 6 (900 mA) in USB 3.0.I tried to root my phone ystday but failed. Will try again tonight and see if can work or not. Don't really understand from the first post on how to do this and that. Tried step by step but still failed. Guess I'm very noob in all this android root-ing thingy. Any kind soul care to help a noob like me? XD Thus, this is not a problem. If you want to use USB to charge your phone. You need to have custom kernel and rom that supports and enable fast charge which force USB to have more output. Charging via USB =/= Wall Plug remember that. Rooting is very easy, do you refer rooting stock rom? Why don't just flash custom rom because it has comes with rooted, deodexed and having tons of customisations and privilege which much better then boring stock What do you need now is a unlock bootloader, and flash custom roms like AOKP to fully utilize your needs~ The stock will never satisfy your needs~ This post has been edited by droid13579: Apr 25 2012, 07:50 PM |
