Did you open cmd and type adb devices?
it should show 12345ABCDE devices.

If not you must have miss something.
I guess usb debugging is needed when in ADB mode.

Did you set system path files? to enable ADB to work?
Like this, this is critical step.
Computer>"Right Click" - Select Properties>Advance System Settings>Environment Variables>At bottom find PATH and select edit>Scroll to the last right and add your C:/ (Your ADB path file by default for me is should be ;C:/android-sdk-windows/tools>Then select OK> then OK till all windows closed.

[REMEMBER add semi column in-front.]

Then only use go cmd type adb if you see bunch of helps means you have adb enabled.

As you do like this, you enable fastboot as well~

Very simple you create a file called Android at C drive, then go to your SDK folder where you download all those adb fastboot from Google SDK you copy all of them and paste on your new Android folder at C.

Then at path there you scroll to the right last type like this ;C:/Android

that makes it very simple.

when you need ADB just cmd then type cd C:/Android
then give your usual commands example adb devices to test adb
success should have 12345ABCDE devices

Nightlies if you don't mind unusual bugs, because lack of change log so you dunno which is changed or not.

b.) The faulty USB Cable.

Anyone need Stock SMS enter key not that smiley, simple steps will do~
1. Download this.
2. Backup your current Mms.apk before using this one.
3. Rename the dowloaded apk file to Mms.apk.
4. Using Root Explorer (or any file manager of your preference) copy file to /system first.
5. Long press modified mms.apk select permission, Set proper permissions (rw-r--r--).
6. Long press again select File Ownership, set to root:root
7. Now only you move the modified mms.apk to system/app
8. Reboot
9. Give me phone number if you are a girl~

I make it clear, by default charging is very slow. It's like every 15~30 minutes 2~3%. The max current of the USB 2.0 port on your puter is 100mA, that's why it takes longer. This situation will improve with the USB 3.0 standard. A unit load is defined as 100 mA in USB 2.0, and was raised to 150 mA in USB 3.0. A maximum of 5 unit loads (500 mA) can be drawn from a port in USB 2.0, which was raised to 6 (900 mA) in USB 3.0.

Thus, this is not a problem. If you want to use USB to charge your phone. You need to have custom kernel and rom that supports and enable fast charge which force USB to have more output. Charging via USB =/= Wall Plug remember that.

Rooting is very easy, do you refer rooting stock rom? Why don't just flash custom rom because it has comes with rooted, deodexed and having tons of customisations and privilege which much better then boring stock smile.gif

What do you need now is a unlock bootloader, and flash custom roms like AOKP to fully utilize your needs~ The stock will never satisfy your needs~
