Hi all,

I would just like to check the price that is worth paying for for these "boys' toys".
I have been offered Cyma and JG (Jing Gong) brand MP5s', M4, M16, AK47, etc for RM1k and above each.
Are they worth paying for, as I have checked on the net that they cost less than US$90.
I know they have to mark up the price as it is illegal here but is the price mentioned above too exorbitant?
Is this the 'normal' price here or has anyone come across better offers?

Yeah guys, that was what I thought too. Cos' I have checked a few sites and the Chinese brands seldom cost more than US$100.
So, how much do you think is a reasonable price here? I would just like to have a rough idea.

Obviously the price is going to be much higher because of the risk the people have to take to bring in the "toys". Everybody knows that but I just want to know what price is the "norm" here. What is considered a worthwhile buy.
Sometimes it is not about the price of the item I am concerned about. It's about the quality of the item that I am paying for.
If I were to pay RM1k++ for a CYMA or JG, then it had better be of considerable quality.
Anyway does anyone have any experience with CYMA and JG rifles? How is the quality?

Real firearms?
Go to SME Aerospace in Sg Buloh. If you persuade them hard enough they might just sell you one tongue.gif

Well at the moment I do not have one since my last cheapo gun broke apart about ten years ago.
I am interested in getting a good one though, to shoot the damn stray cats that come into my compound to dump their crap. They even come into my house to scavange the bins and will claw you if they are cornered. Damn I hate these stray cats and they are multiplying almost every other week.

In Malaysia I don't think we can ever take it out of the house if we have one. If you are caught with one you will probably end up in jail. Happened to my cousin once. Spent a night at the lock-up for having one of those cheap looking plastic hand guns. Imagine if you have a realistic looking M4 or sniper rifle.

Apart from using it to shoot the damn strays, I would probably just put it in my room and admire it every night before going to bed.

Yeah, it iseasier to get airsoft in East M'sia. I have received a few offers from there but the only way to get it is through the mail and I would not do that cos there is a high possibility that it will be confiscated by the customs. Anyone doing cash and carry here?

I have seen the M16 at Toy City. There is also an Mp5 model. But they only make sounds and do not fire any projectiles.

i live in Sarawak and i can't find Autos thats the only problem. I got tons of bolt action ones.

Bolt action ones? U mean the cheap plastic ones or sniper rifles.
Its easy to get the cheap plastic springers here too. I just got one for RM10 last week but the material is really lousy and it is only a matter of time before the thing blows itself up.
Springer sniper rifles on the other hand can go up to 460fps and some are full metal construction. Costs a bomb too.

bought it from toy city...(is cheaper than to get it from Parkson...saw it at Iutama Parksson RM40)
this is my first toy gun...here is the features

1) the barrel can move forward/backward
2) got sound/innervation light
3) adjustable gunstock
4) got flashlight attached
5) got infra red light...

Hmm...looks good in the pics. Made of flimsy plastic I suppose but looks good - as long as you do not touch it.
Anyway the gun is an M4, not an M16. The packaging is wrong I guess. Or maybe I am wrong...?
The govt allows these but bans the airsofts. Hmm...maybe the airsofts should be packaged this way hmm.gif

From the looks of it, it is an AEG for all the accessories included.
Please PM me the price and details.

-Haih-
I am also looking high and low for these stuff too but it's hard to find a genuine supplier.

Yesterday in the papers, a man in Sarawak was arrested for possessing a gas powered airsoft pistol and may be charged under the firearms act, citing the the gun can be deadly if fired with metal ball bearings.
Wat the f**k, man! It is only an airsoft gun. Some people have nothing better to do. Why don't they bust some rempits instead.
I am wondering what they will ban next. Knives in households maybe.

Well actually I do agree that the airsoft guns, especially the realistic looking ones should be banned in this country because there will be many ppl who will abuse it. But why are the police taking it so seriously to the extent of charging the guy in court. Shouldn't they just have confiscated the gun and given the person a warning? After all it is only a "toy". They should go after the guys with real firearms, not ppl with airsofts.

I think if you used steel ball bearings, the BBs will damage the gun cos it is too heavy.

Ok, we shall leave the police to their work, no matter catching rempits or airsoft owners.

Back to the topic.

I would love to get an AEG even if the price is a lil' high but the only thing stopping me now is the "after sales support". What I mean is, if the gun is spoilt there is no way I can get anyone to repair or service it. Furthermore the ones being offered here are CYMA, JG, BOYI, etc. and I doubt they can last long. Imagine if you spend RM1000 on an AEG and it gets spoilt in a few months/weeks.

So I would rather get a springer as there is no electronic parts and will be more durable.

For a springer I would prefer a pump gun or sniper rifle as it feels more realistic to cock after each shot. It will be odd to get a springer automatic rifle/gun (M4, AK47,M5, etc.) as these guns are meant to fire in bursts.

Just my 2 cents.

So if anyone can help me with my request, please PM me.

Thanks!
